On behalf of a DEL (Daily Execution Lead) at CelaneseAs a DEL, I want changes made to the template to reflect immediately to the checklist, this functionality will help my team adapt quickly to our agile environmentWhen creating an interval based checklist template in InField, if you wish to make any changes to that template after it has already been opened/released, the following warning message is given: " Existing checklists will not be updated if changes are made to the template. These changes will be included in the checklist created in the first calendar week following the template update"The user is unable to use their updated templates until the next calendar week."
The ability to filter by labels in the Explore screen would be helpful, We filter data using labels for the purpose of contextualization, so it makes sense to have labels available as a common filter to filter Assets, Files, etc. in Explore.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:As an InField user, I would like the ability to customize the layout of the asset overview page. Specifically, for some units/sites there may not be a 3D model available. It would be great to have the ability to disable that module and utilize the extra real-estate to surface more important data.@Kristoffer Knudsen
When I need to download a table from RAW explorer to excel, the default row count is set to 100. I usually always want the whole table. Would it be possible to have the default count being set to the number of rows in table? And if rows exceeds download limit (currently 100k rows), a warning could appear? I find the current download process non-elegant.
When using RAW Explorer I find it not possible to search for content in the table. E.g. I cannot search for content in a given column. This means I have to download the table to Excel and do the search there (which works perfectly fine)… It is a shame that data exploration seems to be better in Excel in this case!
We trying to use Spot with inRobot in our factory test field. For our company's safety rules regulation and in the event of a collision with an obstacle or person, we need to limit Spot’s walking speed to 1.0m/s.When we use Spot with Inrobot's Mission, it automatically walks at its maximum speed (1.6 m/s) and I feel it is dangerous. So we would like you to implement a function to control Spot's walking speed in inRobot.
Hello,I want to leverage the refresh token functionality of sdk so is there any way i can get my graphql query executed using the python sdk ? I am invoking below endpoint as of today.https://{cognite_cluster}.cognitedata.com/api/v1/projects/{project_name}/userapis/spaces/{space}/datamodels/{model}/versions/{string_version}/graphqlIf not available can a request be taken to provide that in python sdk!
Request: CDF automatically generates key file attributes when a file is uploaded related to file content and size, including but not limited to:file size file md5 number of pages in a fileUse Cases: file md5 - to compare files and eliminate duplicates file size - to identify broken files and auto-delete them number of pages in a file - contextualization of 50+ page diagrams requires a different method (uses parse_diagrams) than contextualization of diagrams with less than 50 pages. Number of pages in a file will be necessary to determine what method of contextualization is needed and currently there is no way to do this (manually or automatically). Currently these attributes are implemented manually, but it would be incredibly useful and more efficient to have this information automatically available in technical workflows. Furthermore, in the case of contextualization of 50+ pages, it will be necessary.
Asset-to-asset relationships in Data Fusion Explorer are currenly hidden behind a couple of clicks. This makes it harder for end users to get an overview of the Asset. It would be more convenient if the asset-to-asset reltionships where displayed together with the metadat fields on the Details page:Possible placement to show relationships
It would be nice if we can download the render generated when we create a new Data Model
Hi!When I am in asset explorer and want to view asset hierarchy for a given node, the asset hierarchy for the node above gets displayed. I find this confusing. Is it something wrong?See example below:When I click “View full hierarchy” for asset “EN-x-y” the hierarchy for “EN-x” opens up (indicated in blue in picture below). But I would expect the nodes under “EN-x-y” to open up.
Filled out originally as a bug, but was asked to post as a product idea instead. In InField 1.0, numerical measurement readings could be entered on a desktop by using the "enter" key. In InField 2.0, the "tab" key is the one that actually enters values, and the "enter" key does not do anything. It would be more intuitive to keep the "enter" button as the input button. This would likely impact learning facilitators (template admins) and console operators the most, as they are the ones more likely to be completing checklists on their desktop where this functionality would make a difference, rather than completing the checklists on mobile device.
In the creation of some of our applications we use functions to change data, i.e. upper, lower, etc.We also use other functions to do things like convert units or coordinate systems or even standardize operator names. What would the process be in FDM to allow that functionality. For example where a temperature is stored in Kelvins (SI) and we want to use a “view” to show it in Fahrenheit.
There should be an eas(ier) way to mass-delete or mass-change a time interval. Mass Deletion:Currently one can select all tasks and ADD a time interval, but cannot select all tasks and delete a common time interval that all of them have.Mass Change:One can replace time intervals, but the replacement HAS to have the same number of time intervals in the desired change as already exists in each individual task. If not, nothing gets replaced and instead the time intervals are added on top of what exists, so you then have to clean up the entire template.
I am working on Cognite File Extractor and I am able to upload the different type of files from the same directory or its sub directories. But it is uploading all the files from the specified directory, is there any configuration using which we can upload only a specific file from directory having multiple files?
HiWhen I am looking into data sets in CDF data explorer I want to be able to download it to Excel for further exploration and manipulation. It feels like I can only see a glimpse of the data, and the rest is just unavailable for me to explore without using SDK etc. Adding filtering and searching options in the columns would also drastically help.
Most customers find our Cognite Data Fusion project replicator invaluable as a way to transfer data between environments, in other situations customers are sharing data with Vendors or Operators with this replicator. However, when bugs or issues occur with the data replicator or with data being replicated, there is no way way to get monitoring and notifications if these issues. There is SDK functionality for extractor pipeline monitoring that can solve these issues, My request is that the Replicator be updated to include the extractor pipeline monitoring features giving all customers the ability to monitor data ingestion into Cognite Data Fusion from another Cognite Data Fusion project.
Request Details What is the customer requesting? Please provide details on the request so we can better understand why this is important to them. Your Answer: There is no order to any of the dropdowns in the filter view. This makes it so the user has to do extra steps that they weren't expecting and if the list is very big then they probably won't be able to find what they are looking for.Use Case How will they use this feature? In what business scenarios will they do this? Your Answer: Exploring their data. They want to quickly filter their Assets, Events, etc. based on a field to see how many match up. Pain Points Without this feature what issues is the customer currently facing? Be detailed and explain why this causes pain for the customer. Your Answer: They would need to start entering a prefilter when they might not even know what they want to filter on.Benefits Justify this request. Why/How does this improve the user’s experience? Back up this request with real benefits that the feature will deliver. Your Answer: If the customer comes to Cognite to find out what they don't know, then exploring their own data should be easy and intuitive. The more they can discover on their own, the more confidence they will have in the rest of the product.
The ability to see the linked P&IDs to a timeseries (via the asset) is very helpful as it allows us to also see other assets/timeseries that are connected to a specific tag. However we noticed that the processed SVG files from the P&IDs (pdf) are also included in the list. These are not clickable and causes some confusion at times. The list is also not arranged alphabetically, if it was, it would have caused the PDF P&IDs to appear on top.In summary, we would just like to see the “clickable” PDF files to be the first one on the list. But if there is a way to sort or filter through the list of files, especially for assets that appears in/linked to multiple files.
Relationships does not have metadata, it is only possible to add labels. It would be very usefull to be able to add metadata to Relationships.
Really great progress has been made in support for OAuth2 and Open ID Connect, as described here. Support for Azure AD was the right first move into this area. Next, I recommend full support be added to CDF (backend and frontend) for using Auth0 as the identity provider. I discussed with a member of the Cognite identity team in Q4 of 2021, but was told the support was ready with the backend since Auth0 meets the Minimum IdP requirements, but the frontend would not be accessible with Auth0. Only API access would work.I’ve lost track of this area a bit, so decided a Product Feedback topic would be a great way to keep everyone updated on the status. Thanks!
The ability to view settings and especially root locations, should be restricted. It is understood that not everyone can change the settings, but even the ability to view the settings should be limited to at least only learning facilitators (template admins).
