Request Details What is the customer requesting? Please provide details on the request so we can better understand why this is important to them. Your Answer: There is no order to any of the dropdowns in the filter view. This makes it so the user has to do extra steps that they weren't expecting and if the list is very big then they probably won't be able to find what they are looking for.

Use Case How will they use this feature? In what business scenarios will they do this? Your Answer: Exploring their data. They want to quickly filter their Assets, Events, etc. based on a field to see how many match up.

Pain Points Without this feature what issues is the customer currently facing? Be detailed and explain why this causes pain for the customer. Your Answer: They would need to start entering a prefilter when they might not even know what they want to filter on.

Benefits Justify this request. Why/How does this improve the user’s experience? Back up this request with real benefits that the feature will deliver. Your Answer: If the customer comes to Cognite to find out what they don't know, then exploring their own data should be easy and intuitive. The more they can discover on their own, the more confidence they will have in the rest of the product.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback! We really appreciate it!

This feedback makes total sense and we completely agree with you. We have created a task for our products team so we will look into this.

In a short term, we won’t be able to sort by the number of objects within one key or value, because we are waiting for a back end solution, but as soon as we will get it, we will implement sorting by this number. For now, we will add sorting by name.

Here is a design proposal. Users will be able to click on the header and sort items inside the menu by using ascending and descending order.
