Hi

When I am looking into data sets in CDF data explorer I want to be able to download it to Excel for further exploration and manipulation. It feels like I can only see a glimpse of the data, and the rest is just unavailable for me to explore without using SDK etc.

Adding filtering and searching options in the columns would also drastically help.

Hi @Benjamin Medbøen ! Thank you for feedback. To check if I understand, is it to find a complete list of all assets belonging to/within a specific data set you want to download to excel?

Hi @Sofie Svartdal Berge !

In this case it is to explore, validate and get an overview of the data in the data set. That may include filtering out data, sorting data, searching for data, commenting data, adding new columns etc. It may also include extracting certain content and use it in reports or to feed certain data into other processes. This is possible to do with Excel.

So the use case in general is independent of the data in the data set. In many cases, in order to actually use data easily, I need to be able to download it easily. In this case I need to go to a data engineer / scientist to get the data, even tough I see it in CDF.

Basically, whatever I see in a table in CDF I want to be able to download. And in addition, it would also be good with additional data explorational capabilities within CDF such as filtering and, sorting and searching.

I understand this can be difficult when data volume is huge, but I am sure it is possible to find ways to select only certain parts of the data.
