Hi! We are building a Bayesian model using PyMC with a JAX backend, and want to run this model continuously on new incoming data inside a Streamlit App hosted in Cognite Data Fusion. As the library depends heavily on compiled extensions, there are no pure Python wheel for this. Is there an alternative approach for running PyMC models? Thanks!
Alternate Tank Numbers – It looks like the alternate Tank numbers are not included. I tried to search for Tank 35-2 and it wasn’t able to locate it. Would be possible to add a field for the alternate name for tanks?P&ID Connections – I like how Cognite draws connection lines between references currently, however I think this could be improved by adding a conditional for matching line number so that each exact pipe connection only is shown.Text ID – on some of the P&IDs, it looks like the text identifier struggles to ID rotated text, is there any way to improve this? Ex. Can the AI run another similar search with each P&ID rotated 90 degrees?
Hi,I tried to create timeseries using SDK and i want to create using the instanceID as below: but i got this error:What is the correct way to create timeseries using instance? Thanks
I have created and published an Atlas AI agent which I am able to use from CogniteUI. I tried to use this agent via Cognite SDK. I am able to list all agents and able to retrieve my agent. However, when I tried to send Message to my agent I got following errorclient.agents.chat(agent_external_id= “external_id”, messages= Message("Provide list of wells in Field"))CogniteAPIError: Agents with tools that run on the client side are not supported for non-Fusion users. | code: 400 | X-Request-ID: 9eac0212-9f5f-9dd9-9372-7073768dc3e8 | cluster: westeurope-1 | project: ------No idea what this means. In the checklist section of InField it is a need to be able to sort on functional location attributes. If we first are able to choose which attribute to sort on, and afterwards if it is in rising or falling order it would be really helpful! A specific use case for this is to sort on location/area. Then the user are able to see all f.loc that is in the area that he currently is working in.
There is a need to create a check list based on a list of functional location copied from an external source (Such as an excel sheet) or manually typing in. The functionality makes it easy for technicians wanting to create checklists based on a list of functional location from mail or other list to make tag data/work orders and 3D model available in the field. Using templates for this is not a viable option since these are one-off needs (Check list is only needed once). This functionality has been available in earlier versions of our InField which can be used for reference.
Issue: Some functionality is not working properly in Edge browser, while it works fine in Chrome. We have a few internal tickets highlighting these issues: Ticket 1 – Search issue in Cognite Data Explorer: The user is trying to search for the asset “E206” in the Assets section using Edge, but it does not appear in the results. Searching the same asset in Chrome works correctly. This issue occurs only with the E206 asset; other assets in the same hierarchy are searchable in Edge. Ticket 2 – Canvas not loading properly: Canvases are not loading correctly in Edge. The same canvases load without any issues in Chrome. Ticket 3 – P&ID diagram loading issue: A user is trying to load a specific P&ID diagram in Edge, but it fails to load. The diagram loads correctly in Chrome. Steps Taken to Resolve Clear Edge Cache and Cookies Navigate to Settings → Privacy, Search, and Services → Clear Browsing Data → Cached Images & Files + Cookies. Restart Edge and log in again. Che
At Aker BP we are currently using the Cognite file extractor, and have some bugs and improvement points to report. Some of the bugs here are a big concern for us using the extractor going forward:1. Missing‑as‑Deleted Flag Does Not Work as DocumentedWhen missing-as-deleted: true and delete-behavior: hard are configured, the extractor does not delete files that are absent from the source query. This contradicts the documented behaviour and makes it impossible to rely on the extractor to keep target datasets clean. Because the executable is closed‑source, the root cause is unclear. From a developer who configures the file extractor: This bug went undiscovered for some time because the previous extractor had to be replaced, and has different behavior from the new file extractor on full loads. (This seems to be a bug in the new extractor.) The previous deprecated Documentum Extractor would delete all files that it did not upload for that specific extraction. This also caused issues in the
Sylvamo users are looking to avoid scrolling with the trackpad, essentially. When navigating the Chart, the idea is: Buttons that allow users to scroll through the time series (see screenshot below). These buttons could dynamically scroll either large chunks of time or relatively small ones, depending on how quickly the user was clicking them. End users are using Dell, Lenovo etc. laptops
When exploring data in CDF search industrial tools, I want to be able to open & expand the 3D model/ asset results in a new tab, without (pop out in new tab button) without leaving my search page ,currently I have to expand the result to full screen & leave my search page ( not easy to compare between different assets & have to duplicate tab & consume time for search results to load then expand only one asset per tab)not sure if I am missing an already existing feature,But a pop up button for asset overview, would be very useful for me & my clients
I have a problem with retreiving data with the Python SDK. In a time series I have a data point for 2026-03-11 13:45:00 with the value “0.0”. If I retrieve it without any aggregation, it is (as it should be) “0.0”. If I retrieve it aggregated to a 15min resolution with “average” aggregation, it becomes “0.5”. Both “max” and “min” aggregations however give “0.0” - as should be expected. So there seems to be something off with the “average” aggregation. See screenshot for the case: Is this a known behaviour?
Hi everyone!Finding an asset is one thing; understanding its surroundings is another. In the upcoming release on the 3rd of March, we’ve upgraded the 3D Experience in Search to give you instant spatial context without leaving your search results. What’s New?In-Preview Scenes & 360-images: View 3D scenes and 360-degree images directly in the search preview pane. Seamless Transitions: Move from a search preview to the unified 3D world while staying immersed in your 360-degree view. Direct Access: Launch full Scenes immediately from the preview card.See your asset in it’s full real-world context byviewing your 3D Scenes in Search⚡ Quick Start:Prepare - Ensure you are using Scenes for 3D and that they are connected to your Location Search for an asset or location in CDF. Preview the result to see the 3D scene load automatically. Explore by opening the unified 3D view for full immersion. The preview also supports fully interactive 360 images Pro Tip 💡: Opening the full 3D view from a 360
The MQTT hosted extractor is erroring out and showing the following message: Internal database error: Session has expired: Session was not foundI’ve tried pausing and resuming the extractor, and modifying the configured sink, without success.
Sometimes is difficult to navigate in Search. Lets improve filters in Search by adding "Contains", "Is empty" (and probably numerical options like greater, less etc) options. This is industry standard. But CDF doesn’t have it
Button to close window disappears when browser window is too small. It is quite inconvienient that the “close” button is one that disappears. Is this by design or a UI bug?
Hi everyone, At Cognite, we strive to ensure that every tool in the Cognite Data Fusion workspace meets our high standards for security, performance, and user experience. The Image and Video Management interface (found under the Data Management workspace) has reached a stage where it can no longer be maintained to those standards. To focus our efforts on more robust, integrated data exploration tools, we are initiating a 12-month deprecation period for this specific interface. This means that the Image and Video Management interface will be deprecated on 17 February 2027.What is changing? The standalone Image and Video Management app is entering its sunset phase. This includes: The specialized Map view for finding image and video data. The Annotation tool for images. The integrated Video streaming/viewing interface within this specific app. Note: This deprecation only affects the management interface. Your raw image and video files stored in CDF remain safe and accessible via the API
In Celanese, we are reviewing moving multiple data model views to streams due to the growing instance volumes. Several of the views have direct relations to each other and to other data models. Within one record, we need the capability to define a direct relation to a data model instance and to a record in another stream.
The user from MPC have requested the ability to customize the Tooltip on the Annotation display on the Canvas. When hovering over an annotation in Canvas, the tool tip is listing the Source IDs of the referenced files. The Source ID is less meaningful to users than the drawing number or the title of the drawing. They’d like the option to control what appears in the tool tip.CC @eric.dixon@cognite.com
the 3D Model pushed into a power BI dashboard with the annotation as well, to be utilized in external dashboards.

Hello, I was playing with this project (https://github.com/blurrah/mcp-graphql) and created an MCP server on top of a test CDF data model. You can then use an LLM that supports MCP clients to register your server and have the help of the LLM to analyse your data :) Here I used Claude desktop for example: This is a great way if we want to integrate CDF data models with in-house or local LLM models.Do you plan to release an official MCP server for CDF data models? Thank you,
In Workspace Data Management / Data explorer you can preview a timeseries and download datapoints as csv (image attatched). In workspace Industrial Tools / Search, you don’t have this option to download as csv when previewing a timeseries.CDF users who use Industrial Tools / Search, have to find the ts externalId, copy it, switch workspace, paste and search for the ts externalId, preview and then download. This is very confusing and non-intuitive, especially for new or casual CDF users.
Hi, I’m Enikö Farkas from Cognite. With my team, we create e-learning for Cognite Academy. In our courses, we put a lot of emphasis on providing hands-on experiences so you can learn to use Cognite Data Fusion through interacting with real industrial data.In most of our courses, the training data we use comes from the Open Industrial Data (OID) project which is the result of a collaboration between Aker BP, one of Europe’s largest independent oil companies, and Cognite. While the data is from the oil and gas industry, its relevance is much broader: it gives us insight into dynamic industrial processes and can inspire all industries. In this article, I’m excited to share more about this project.About the dataThe data originates from a single compressor on Aker BP’s Valhall oil platform in the North Sea. Aker BP selected the first stage compressor on the Valhall because it is a subsystem with clearly defined boundaries, rich in time series and maintenance data.AkerBP uses Cognite Data Fus
