When selecting an instance in Search, the Overview tab is very useful (seeing more than one data category without having to switch view). However, the tiles are static and cannot be resized. Resizing would allow the user to see more of the data in one category while still see the other data categories (eg I want to see more of the properties from the Asset while still seeing the list of workorders.
For the same reason we would like to be able to change the order of the tiles, eg moving the workorder tile up next to the properties tile, to better focus on the things we want to see.

The same behavior is also relevant when searching for data via Charts and Canvas

Hi Gunnar!

I agree. We have been working on ideas for a slight revamp of the preview side panel to make it more powerful. I might have something to share when we chat next week, but if not, we can still talk through it. Would be great to get your thoughts on it.

Hi @Gunnar Andreas !

Wonder if you have some time for a quick chat. We have designs that we have started implementing, but wanted to check in on one thing in particular - this design separates “relations” and “properties”. Having one Overview tab with all relations, including tree view, and one tab with all Properties (including properties from other views the instance can be seen through).

In your comment here, you mention the wish to be able to see, e.g., properties + work orders. In our designs, we have built in “collapsible” widgets and the ability to rearrange these. This means the Admin, and individual users, will be able to define the order of the widgets on the Overview tab - for example moving Work Orders to be at the top, followed by Tree view and 3D.

Do you have any concerns about separating Properties to its own tab?

Best,

Sofie
