The Process Monitoring function is very helpful as it is and I see many more things it could do. For example, it would be super helpful to have it create events in the dataset with start and end dates that correspond to “Alerts”. Also, this ability to configure calculations for the duration of the event like averages of other datapoints and write that as metadata or to Flexible Data Model would be impressive and well received by the end user. Thanks!
As I’ve seen in competitive trending tools, it is helpful for the user to quickly identify when charted values have exceeded a defined threshold by changing the line type/color for datapoints that are above/below/outside the thresholds. The user should see this even when the threshold is not being displayed or configurable. See attached example. The line color could be changed to yellow or red or something configurable and set to dashed. Thanks, I’d like to hear your thoughts PM!
Filling out on behalf of an engineer super user in a Global role: I frequently need to look at data from other sites across other time zones. It would be helpful if I could see their data in THEIR time zone rather than converted to mine so that when I assist with troubleshooting or other support, I am easily able to refer to the same data points without having to convert all of the times.
As a user I want to highlight 3D objects based on given data criteria (e.g. highlight all 3D objects with SAP criteria X has value Y in red) so that I can easily identify dependencies of the work that needs to be done related to specific types of equipment As a user I want to create a set of queries (e.g. the above + highlight all equipment with upcoming WO in the next three months in blue) so that I can see different kind of dependencies and optimize the planned work accordingly As a user I want to color every equipment by default with the same color (e.g. everything in grey) so that the coloring of the queries is easily to see As a user I want to store queries (e.g. in the browser cookies) so that I do not have to create them from scratch every time when I enter the application
We need the ability to publish and view dashboards within CDF. I have seen videos of this in Cognite demos but unable to do this in reality.
I propose an integration of an interactive documentation assistance chatbot into the Cognite documentation portal to enhance the user experience for users and developers engaging with diverse functionalities and APIs. This chatbot can serve as an intelligent virtual assistant, seamlessly embedded within the documentation portal. Here the purpose is to expedite the user and developer journey by offering live support, troubleshooting assistance, and personalized guidance. By providing interactive assistance to pertinent information, including code snippets, functionalities, known issues, updates, the chatbot can help both seasoned users/developers and those new to Cognite technologies. This chatbot can potentially be trained on any relevant internal and public documentation even including code repositories. Objective of the proposal is to elevate user proficiency and satisfaction within the Cognite ecosystem through the integration of this user-centric tool.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like to see more accessibility options for InField. An example would be the ability to alter the color spectrum of contextualized links on smart P&IDs for users that are color blind. Additionally, having a legend on what each color represents in terms of contextualization would further improve the user experience.
This is fundamental that when i am searching a tag in Remote e.g. HE1300 or V32401, i should be able to get all my time series data associated to that tag in the Infield view. Currently, only direct links are shown in the infield app, so if i really want to search a time series, i actually have to query the instrument tag itself. That is not value adding and defeats the contextualization and relationship achieved in CDF. This is really important to get fixed.
As a user, I want InField to highlight line items that are not in the supported format which causes the “confirm” button to be grayed out during template creation. This will save users time when troubleshooting templates.
In InField 2.0, there is not a way to visualize past values of OK/Not OK or for custom state selections like Yes/No or Pump A/Pump B or High/Normal/Low. In InField 1.0, we at least had the ability to see In/Out/Up and High/Normal/Low as time series. Learning facilitators, team captains, and engineers would like a way to visualize custom state selections and the history of selections. This was brought up originally in a discussion group for Celanese, and we were encouraged to post as a general product idea on Hub.
On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake InField super users:When creating a template in InField, I would like the ability to create branches of logic for specific checklists items such as an “IF” statement. This feature would allow me to have certain line items appear only if a specific response is provided. In InField’s current state, I can only provide “N/A” as a response for items that do not apply given the current state. This can make the checklists longer than they may need to be. An example of this can be as below:Is pump seal leaking? (If yes, please complete the following.) Leak report filed? Time detected? Time corrected?
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:As a user, when creating a template/checklist in InField, I would like the ability to create more than two-levels of sections. This will allow me to effectively organize and structure my templates/checklists in more detail where needed. Given that most current checklists are being transferred from a table/matrix with multiple columns to a list of items within InField, the added layer sectioning will allow me to group line items based on what is required rather than having to provide all information required on a single line item. An example of this can be a checklist for a unit that is built as:Area > Sub Area/System > Equipment > Task
Regular users should not need to see archived checklists, only those with approver privilege's should really need to see them. Perhaps make a toggle that can hide this function from standard infield users.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like the ability to access other checklists when in offline mode. Currently, offline mode restricts you to the checklist that you have open in that point in time. The reason this would be needed, is that some users execute checklists based on where they are in the unit. This sometimes will involve jumping between different checklists to complete items.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:As a user, when using the advanced scheduling option, I would like the ability to archive/close specific shifts when completed within the week without having to wait for the complete week to be finished. This will allow for streamlined reporting on a day/shift basis withing a week schedule. This feature is also important in preventing data integrity issues. As it stands, a user can go to a previous days reading within the week and change it given that the checklist remains open for the entire week.
The field should be able to calculate automatically a value, based on values inserted in others fields
Allow users to have multiple options on the same field to be selected. In multiple use cases, users need to have multiple options in a task and also mark the status.
Today, we don't have a way to remove undesired Checklists from the lists. If something is wrong with the tasks created, users needs to mask the Checklist as done. But even that, doesn’t remove the Checklist from the ‘Done’ list. Users will see data that they don’t want and suppose to be deleted.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:When creating an observation in InField 2.0, the user would like the step for providing a media file to be optional. As the user explained, there will be cases where an observation will not require an image and rather than uploading an image to allow the observation to be created and risk hurting the quality of the data in CDF, the user would like to set this field as optional. Currently, InField keeps the observation in draft until a media file is attached. @Kristoffer Knudsen
I highly recommend to create a workspace where infographics or symbols can be created where time series value can be dragged or pasted on top of it. Ability to allow users to create their diagrams or sketches or pasting infographic from somewhere else and then manually putting tag LIVE readings wherever we want will be a very beneficial use case.Digital Twin is all about improving collaboration.
There is currently no intuitive way to navigate through the asset hierarchy in InField. Please include this capability or, if it already exists, make it more intuitive.
Provide ability to view 360 Photogrammetry in Infield during search
