The idea is to get a Search and Filtering options in the “Data Managament > 3D” tosearch something in the structure of the 3D model filter the nodes to display or not in the 3D model, this Filtering option should be possible with a “contain” option with multiple filters option. This should save the active filters to display the “cleaned” 3D CAD model in the Industrial tool domain. By this filetring we keep the original structure of the 3D CAD model and we can clean it for its display in the CDF

At our company, we frequently need to compare specific time‑series trends with historical data. For example, we may want to compare the temperature increase after a plant startup with the trend observed during a previous startup two years earlier.Currently, the “Shift time series” function in Charts allows us to overlay the same tag with a time offset. However, to do so, we must expand the global time range to cover the entire historical span (for example, setting the range from 2023 to 2025), even when our actual analysis focus is limited to a single year such as 2025. This makes detailed analysis more difficult and reduces readability when working with a clearly defined target period. Ideally, we would like to set the display range only to the target time span, while still being able to retrieve and overlay historical data from earlier periods using a time shift.This request has also been raised multiple times in the past, including by Mr. TAKASE , and we understand that many other u

There is a clear need for a native way to organize and classify time‑series data into reusable, condition‑based time segments (“capsules”) representing distinct operating states or events.Capsules enable users to define such periods based on signals, logic, or events (for example when a valve is open, a pump is running, a compressor is loaded, a system is in start‑up, or production is above a given threshold), and then apply analysis consistently within those time windows.This functionality is missing in Cognite Data Fusion, making it difficult to perform structured, state‑aware analysis without repeatedly rebuilding filters or custom logic. The problem occurs frequently during process optimization, production and injection accounting, energy and mass balance calculations, equipment performance analysis, and troubleshooting, where engineers need to calculate KPIs such as integrated flow, average efficiency, chemical consumption, or loss rates only during relevant operating conditions.W

Can we add functionality to Canvas to have the option to download Canvas documents as separate PDFs or one combined PDF?

Since they cannot issue accounts to partner companies, they would like to make it possible for their representatives to provide handwritten signatures on the checklists.

When manipulating the chart, like zooming/translating, or just moving the pointer to the chart are such that the slider appears, or select/unselect the browser, it triggers a refresh of the data in the “Explore and select your data” window. If you have zoomed in on a file, or searched and filtered on properties, everything gets reset. It seems unnecessary to refresh the data on the “Explore and select your data” window every time I touch the chart, and it makes it impossible to move back and forth when investigating a P&ID

When viewing an asset in search, if you click the asset tab in the overview window, that tab is defaulted to the “Asset Parent”, but path would be a more appropriate default, showing details for the currently selected asset.   

When using filters, the Starts with setting is a powerful functionality allowing you to filter on phrases (limited to the start of the string). However, if the phrase you enter in the search field do not get a match in the “sample set” (not sure how that is extracted, but assume it is the X first instances returned by the list API call), the Apply button is grayed out (shows a red no-parking sign if you hover over it). To force the setup of the filter you have to activate the search field and press Return. If you then press Apply the filter works as intended. This is not a very intuitive workflow, and most users believe the filter config is invalid when the Apply button is “greyed out”.

Users are requesting that adding text to shapes (like a rectangle, arrow, etx.) rather than overlaying a text-box onto a shape. This makes having specific formatting on text move more seamlessly and fit the format of other tools (PDF editor, google slides, powerpoint, etx.) Currently it becomes cluttered to try to move things around unless I control-select or drag on top of both. The drag on top of both only works when there is nothing behind it, making it cumbersome to do versus having this as an intended way to add text to shapes. 

The available functionality for handling pictures in InField today has some improvements for improving user experience. These are:Be able to Zoom in on a picture: currently user can only enter a picture without zooming in on certain parts. Should be possible from both handheld unit and desktop. Download pictures: Should be an alternative for users to download one or all pictures for a certain functional location. Choose next/previous picture: One the user have chosen to display a certain picture it should be possible to choose next/previous to avoid having to exit into the picture menu. Show timestamp for picture upload and who has uploaded it: It would be great if its possible to see which user has uploaded a certain picture and when.Current picture/vidoe management menu:   

Users are requesting that more line options be added as standard, auto-formatable items, similar to tools powerpoint, slides, miro, and other collaborative whiteboard/presentation environments.  The current challenge is that straight lines look disorganized & messy while the poly-line tool does not have snap functionality. Auto-formatting like other whiteboard tools allows this with ‘elbow arrow’ type features.  

Users are requesting additional shapes to be available in canvas for use.  Some examples include: Arrow with fill color available

In Charts and Canvas and Streamlit, items created for quick checks or simple testing (which are not valuable and can be deleted without issue) are listed together with highly valuable items used in daily operations (which would cause problems if deleted).Although only the creator can delete their own items, as CDF usage grows and more Charts and Canvas assets are created, the risk of accidentally deleting important items increases.To prevent this, could we have an optional deletion lock feature for Charts and Canvas and Streamlit?When the lock is enabled, the item cannot be deleted; once the lock is manually removed, deletion becomes possible again.This would help protect important items from accidental removal.

Now, when selecting the stacking function in Charts, all the selected timeseries are combined in the same Y-axis. See attached picture. It is reported by the SMEs that this UI is very messy and hard to read properly. Suggestion to improve this would be a feature where the user can select if he/she want to stack the Y-axes separately (see picture). This would help with better readability of the data in the chart. 

Points of Interest that can be created in a Scene may be used for various purposes, such as near-miss incidents, work procedures, and safety notes. However, at the moment, all Points of Interest are displayed in the same color without any distinction.It would be very helpful if Points of Interest could be tagged and visualized differently in 3D—for example, by displaying them in different colors based on their tags, or by enabling filters to show only Points of Interest with a specific tag, such as near-miss incidents. This would greatly improve usability.

If document names is "clickable" it connects to itself.  This makes it unorganised, especially if you want connection lines to other multiple other documents. A blocker should be in place to ensure that connection lines do not connect the document to itself. 

It should be possible to enlarge windows in canvas in vertical direction

There is no option to hide connecting lines in canvas between documents. This can lead to overcrowded canvas layout and difficult to see what lines is connected where. Recommend to make an option to hide individual lines to ensure a better visual layout.

Should be able to change font size and colour within a sticky note. Also, why not be able to change the colour of the sticky note with HEX codes, and only restrict it to four colours?
