In Infield Trends section, only timeseries linked directly with the selected Asset is shown by default. This is not the same behavior as Fusion, which show the timeseries of child assets.Although we have the ability to see other trends, there might be some cases that other trends can be shown more easily, for example adding “Other time series related with this tag” under “Other time series on this tag”.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like to see some functionality in InField that limits who can view and approve checklists based on discipline. An example of this is when a checklist has been opened from a maintenance work order. The process team captains should not be able to see these checklists in their “Checklists for approval” tab or even have the ability to approve any checklists that are owned by maintenance. Can the approval rights be restricted based on maintenance?
We need the ability to look at data beyond 1 year from Infield. We also need the ability to track exceedances as counts against the limits over a period of time. This should be a default feature.
Currently, date is not available as input from the users to the tasks in infield checklist. This is important to users as the users would like to record the date in few of the tasks in the checklists as shown belowCatalyst replacement date? Hydrotest completion date for the equipment?
On behalf of Celanese CDF super user:When setting up data set graphs in Canvas, graphs are not pulled in a standardized way (some show vertical, other horizontal) as well as not showing the same standardized data series in the picture (see picture attached)
On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake InField super usres:When creating/editing a template in InField, I would like the ability to choose where my new line item is added in my checklist. This is especially important when editing existing templates that could have hundreds of line items. InField by default creates the new item at the bottom of the checklist and I would then have to click and drag the item where I would like it to be. This process is very time consuming and tedious. If instead, I am able to insert new items anywhere within my checklist it would save so much more time.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like the ability to archive and delete unwanted checklists in InField 2.0. Currently, InField 2.0 only supports the ability to delete templates but not checklists. The only option we are given is to mark checklists as “done”. However, if this is added, it must be limited by access permissions as we do not need all users to have the ability to delete checklists.
Users may need to make adjustments in a certain numbers of Templates and it will be good to have an option to select multiple templates on a list and change the status to Ready. This will improve the user experience, by reducing the clicks to execute an action and saving time to operate multiple templates.
Can we have a text-editing mode in Cognite Hub where we can type Markdown? We developers love markdown.
For the Conditional Messages, it’s also important to have the option to request an answer when the users mark a Not Ok, for example. Usually ‘Not Ok’ answers require some actions to be taken and it’s important to have a field conditioned to that specific status so the sites can be aware about the action that was taken by the users.
User wants to have a Hyperlink to a specific Template in InField 2.0. The reason behind - Today employees get Training (incl. the checklists) and it would be important to connect the template with the training material (in a training system) to be able to see who is trained and with which version of a checklist. For this reason, it would be great to have Hyperlink to the Template.
Ability to start a conversation thread inside Industrial Canvas in CDF. Ability to tag users in the conversation thread. Ability to categorize these conversations. For Example, Troubleshooting Composition issues, or efficiency monitoring, or monthly status meeting or Root Cause Analysis. Ability to retrieve all conversation history from past troubleshooting exercises for a specific Canvas based on dates, categories, usernames etc. Ability to make these conversations public, private or accessible to select users chosen by whoever created the Canvas. Ability to tag a specific document, chart, drawing etc. inside that canvas to the conversation. Search results on CDF should show another category (similar to Assets, Timeseries, Files etc.) listing all Canvases and conversations which that asset is part sorted by (recent date or importance etc.) Ability to attach a link of these conversations in MS Teams/Outlook meeting notice etc.
As per the below conversation with support team currently there is no way to connect to Cognite Extractor Pipelines and Transofrmations from Power BI. It would be helpful if we can enable access to Transformations and Extarctors. With this we can create our own dashboards for monitoring the jobs. You can find more details in the below link. https://cognite.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/11197
Filling out on behalf of an engineer super user: A user may not want to make a given Chart public if they are verifying the validity of a calculation. The user should have the ability to share a private Chart with the users of their choosing.
Following up from a separate thread (Cognite Charts: y-axis Spacing and Labeling), adding the capability to place timestamped milestones (e.g. when an event started, when a remediation test started, etc) would add value. I sometimes need to display a time series only to mark an event (e.g. when a valve was opened, when a specific chemical injection start/ends, etc), and this leads to many times series being displayed at once (see example below). If milestones could be marked on the chart, that would be really useful. Maybe it could be added as some sort of custom time series (similar to how to “Add Calculation”) fixed to a specific timestamp and could appear as a vertical line with some marker at the top - this is just me thinking out loud. Thanks,Richard
On behalf of a manufacturing expert. As a user, I would like the ability to place markers/fixed data points along a time series trend. This feature will make troubleshooting easier as I will not have to jump back and forth along my time series trend looking for the specific data points that I am trying to compare and having to hover over just to see the information I need.
In the chart area in Cognite Charts, it would be beneficial to lock the ruler in place on the screen, cause I often have to switch windows and write down say inside excel. and I want to copy values from charts, now i do that through taking a printscreen but it is quite cumbersome to open mspaint to copy it in, and find the window and the values inside the printscreend browser-window. could be expanded to be able to add in multiple rulers. such that the rules with numerical values stay on the screen even if I change windows and move the mouse away from the charting area. It would even be nice, if with a button the values along the ruler could be store to clipboard as text string such that they can be copyed straight into a say excel spreadsheet or into any text-document.
Filling out on behalf of an engineer at CLK site:Monitoring email notifications/alerts should include a link to the relevant Charts and Monitoring jobs within the body of the email itself. This would make it easier for the user to follow up and reference the relevant information rather than having to manually log into CDF and finding the Chart separately.
