We need the ability to create a default configured view on CDF because the default views are not really helpful for domain experts. The new release allows us to configure our personal views but we need to have a default for Celanese that we can configure for all to have a starting point. This view that CDF has not a good starting view. we need Name, Description, Document Type etc. This is high priority.
Hi Team,I am trying to do the Python SDK Transformations course and got stuck here when running the code, can you please help me what I am missing here? Thanks,Navyasri Indupalli
I want to complete Data Engineer Basics - Integrate so, How to purchase 2 credits for Data Engineer Basics - Integrate?
You can load data from Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) into Microsoft Power Apps, where you can build custom apps for your business needs. This article explains how to create and connect a custom Power Apps connector with the Cognite API and build a canvas app. Before you startTo perform the steps below, you need to be an administrator of Azure AD. Make sure you have registered the Cognite API and the CDF portal application in Azure AD and set up Azure AD and CDF groups to control access to CDF data. You'll also need to register a custom web app in Azure AD to give Power Apps access to the CDF data. Make sure to register the redirect URI, https://global.consent.azure-apim.net/redirect under Authentication > Add a platform > Web.Step 1: Create and authenticate a custom connector Sign in to Microsoft Power Apps with your Microsoft account. Start from Dataverse > Custom Connectors. Select New custom connector > Create from blank. On the General information tab: Host: Enter http
Filling out on behalf of an engineer super user: A user may not want to make a given Chart public if they are verifying the validity of a calculation. The user should have the ability to share a private Chart with the users of their choosing.
Can Cognite develop C# and C++ supported SDKs which includes functionality to handle OIDC authentication?Currently if end users of Seismic CDF want to use the SDK we are dependent on their software supporting Python. A lot of software dealing with seismic data is written in C# or C++ and having SDK supporting these languages would greatly increase the assimilability of the Seismic SDKs out of the box.Other programming languages that could be of interest is Java.
In the chart area in Cognite Charts, it would be beneficial to lock the ruler in place on the screen, cause I often have to switch windows and write down say inside excel. and I want to copy values from charts, now i do that through taking a printscreen but it is quite cumbersome to open mspaint to copy it in, and find the window and the values inside the printscreend browser-window. could be expanded to be able to add in multiple rulers. such that the rules with numerical values stay on the screen even if I change windows and move the mouse away from the charting area. It would even be nice, if with a button the values along the ruler could be store to clipboard as text string such that they can be copyed straight into a say excel spreadsheet or into any text-document.
I would like to please match the cognite tabs here to the right SAP fields. Can we include more tabs such as components, objects, cost, operations? We have the data coming but it needs to be organized in the black rectange. so in SAP, we have the following headers so Objects is where - we should have object list as below (not components which we are showing?) Next question: How do we tie a checklist to the work order? should that be on operations tab or should that be on Objects? Food for thoughthow do i automatically assign a checklist to the work order? can contextualization do that?
Hi, I have an improvement request of the feature of Charts from a site operator. Could you please improve the displayed significant digits in Charts. We often use Cognite Charts to analyze the operation status of our plant and improve our operation. In Charts, a displayed value on the graph is about 20 significant digits. However, we think we don't need so much significant digits since too much significant digits interfere with our analysis and the significant digits of the output data from DCS is not so much. Could you please add a feature of Cognite Charts to configure significant digits of a displayed value on a graph by ourselves if possible. If it is difficult, Could you please round to four significant digits.
Direct tool\data bridge to bring CDF data into ARCGIS without data conversion. This could be API plugging into ESRI ArcGIS or bridge via for example FME (future manipulation engine) export from CDF via FME to SDE SQL geodatabase.Mainly we would like to be able to display CDF generated survey products outlines and attributes in GIS to help with sales. We could use this data in ArcGIS desktop but also integrate with data on our web maps and applications.
I want to purchase the Cognite credits for me and my team for completing the certification. Unfortunately, I am not able to click on the purchase button.Am I missing something, can you please guide me.
It is important that the operators are able to write back to SAP from the field during operator rounds or checklists.
Feature Request: Implement a dynamic visualization module in the Cognite Monitoring for extractors to enrich data insights. Users should have the ability to visualize the extractors status by plant in a traffic signal format (red/green/blue). The feature must support real-time updates, allowing users to monitor live data and historical trends seamlessly. Include interactive elements like drill-down options, tooltips, and data filtering for a user-friendly experience.
As Daily Execution Leader, when something is marked Not OK and in red, I would like my process experts (those doing shiftly rounds) to be required to enter in a comment to make sure the issue is communicated and visible to all. Make it so that it cannot be skipped without putting a comment.Feedback from the Daily Execution Leader @ VAM (Vinyl Acetate) Unit at Clear Lake going through onboarding now
Many Cognite charts users expressed interest in having the flexibility to add/store/organize Cognite charts in folders.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like the ability to group and categorize my templates based on type. As we continue to digitize our checklists, the list of templates can become very long. This then leads to constant scrolling in InField to find the template that I need. Given that our checklists range from different types such as “Reading Sheets” or “EHSA Checklists”, it would be great if I could group these in a similar functionality that you see in the “Archived templates” tab (see below). This would make template navigation and management much easier.
In InField 1.0, we could at least see the date when a given template was last edited and by whom it was edited by. (see attached picture). In InField 2.0, we lose this ability - it would be helpful to understand what the last change was and who made the change in order to follow up with that person and ask follow up questions.
Hi All,I am trying to update data in RAW table. I am using below code but after executing it either column values are not modified or sometimes all the columns shrink under one columns as ({} columns) and column data is also not updated in that case. var row = confModel.RawRow as RawRow<Dictionary<string, JsonElement>>;if (row == null){ return;}var currentDate = DateTime. Now;var utcDate = currentDate.ToUniversalTime().ToString("u").Replace(" ", "T");row.Columns[UpdatedBy] = GetJsonElement(JsonValue.Create("SYSTEM"));row.Columns[SimulationStatus] = GetJsonElement(JsonValue.Create(status.ToString()));row.Columns[UpdatedDate] = GetJsonElement(JsonValue.Create(utcDate));var rawRowCreateColl = new List<RawRowCreate<RawRow<Dictionary<string, JsonElement>>>>();var rawRowCreate = new RawRowCreate<RawRow<Dictionary<string, JsonElement>>>();rawRowCreate.Key = confModel.RowKey;rawRowCreate.Columns = row;rawRowCreateColl.Add(rawRowCreate);tr
As per the below conversation with support team currently there is no way to connect to Cognite Extractor Pipelines and Transofrmations from Power BI. It would be helpful if we can enable access to Transformations and Extarctors. With this we can create our own dashboards for monitoring the jobs. You can find more details in the below link. https://cognite.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/11197
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:Currently, InField only supports an itemized list view when creating templates. However, for Maintenance applications, I would like to see some flexibility in template formatting to allow support for tables (multiple columns and rows) similar to original Excel forms today. Given that maintenance checklists cover multiple inspection criteria per equipment, a list is not the ideal interface as the users would be required to scroll through a long list of items.
We would like to have the ability to put or move the message to show at the beggining of the taske (currently it moves it below) to give instructions to conduct the activity or input an answer.
Hello all,Having some challenges with the hands-on section of the training material. I have some authorization issues based on the error message below. Any suggestions on how to fix it ?
For the Conditional Messages, it’s also important to have the option to request an answer when the users mark a Not Ok, for example. Usually ‘Not Ok’ answers require some actions to be taken and it’s important to have a field conditioned to that specific status so the sites can be aware about the action that was taken by the users.
On behalf of a manufacturing expert. As a user, I would like the ability to place markers/fixed data points along a time series trend. This feature will make troubleshooting easier as I will not have to jump back and forth along my time series trend looking for the specific data points that I am trying to compare and having to hover over just to see the information I need.
