Hi, I’m doing the Learn to Use the Cognite Python SDK module in the Data Scientist basics seems incorrect. For example, I’m in the notebook `2_List_Search_Retrieve.ipynb` and the data presented appears to be very random, and not industrial data. When I run a query like:`c.assets.list(metadata={'ELC_STATUS_ID': '1211'},limit=5)` this comes back empty because there is no industrial data in any of the the datasets. In fact, almost all of the datsets in the c.data_sets.list() command are Deprecated and archived. It looks to me like potentially the datasets are tests that people have made. I would really like to be able to see some more realistic data in the dataset used for exploring the tool. Please let me know how I can do that, if anyone knows!
Filling out on behalf of an engineer at CLK site:Monitoring email notifications/alerts should include a link to the relevant Charts and Monitoring jobs within the body of the email itself. This would make it easier for the user to follow up and reference the relevant information rather than having to manually log into CDF and finding the Chart separately.
I want to complete Data Engineer Basics-Integrate but unfortunately for the access I need Purchase with 2 Credits. Can someone advise on this RegardsAmelia
Hi, everyoneI'm trying to load sequences using Python SDK by inserting dataframes. In the dataframe, I have some columns with NaN and numeric values. Dataframe: and when loading NaN values, they are uploaded as 'null'. I've tried replacing them with empty strings, but due to the column definitions, if I have numeric values, the column's data type must be Double or Long, and conflicts arise when encountering empty strings. This is the code to load a sequence: Results in CDF using Python SDK: However, when loading the sequence via DB-Extractor, empty strings are uploaded as such and not as 'null' Is there any way to load via SDK so that NaN values are uploaded as empty and not 'null'? Resent search items history cannot see in search option at Data explorer screen in CDF.
On behalf of Celanese CDF super users:CDF currently limits PDF searching to 50 pages maximum. Scanned historical records are often 300+ Pages. The PDF's also load unacceptably slow. Users are forced to use source systems to access these files rather than CDF or Infield due to these limitations.
Transferring asset hierarchy data between the root assets within Cognite poses a challenge due to a limitation within the Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) platform. However, this functionality is readily supported within SAP. In other words, while SAP facilitates the seamless movement of asset hierarchy data across various root assets, Cognite's CDF platform lacks this capability, presenting a constraint in data engineering management and pipeline failures. This limitation results in the real time failures as SAP changes are typically not in our control and business teams perform these changes periodically.
Hi Team,I am doing the Notebook 2 in Data Engineer Basics - Integrate course and getting this error, am I missing something here?
Hi Team,On behalf of CNTXT, I am creating this FR; they reported that when using the metadata filter in CDF Explorer Files section, selecting two filtering conditions results in a list containing items that meet either condition, similar to OR logic. However, the requirement here is to filter the list to only contain items that satisfy both conditions simultaneously, similar to requiring all conditions to be met using AND logic. Currently this functionality is working based on the “OR” operation.
In CDF Fundamentals class for Cognite Charts it states that one can merge the both y axis for Sunction, Discharge and Delta, but it doest state how its done. Any guidance on how to merge or make sure chart only shows one y axis?
Hi everyone, I'm loading sequences from a file that has 11 million rows, and I would like to load it in batches, where each batch is a dataframe. As I load by batch, the rows that the sequence already had are being deleted, leaving only the last batch. How can I load each batch without deleting the previous one? This is the code I use to read the file in batches and load rows into the sequence. It is assumed that the sequence is already created. When Exploring data the logical first input is the Data set. As of todays solution, the filters applied afterwards, are not confined by the Data Set selected initially, e.g. “Assets”.Suggest to include/modify solution in order to have the filtering functions applied afterwards taking the Data Set selected into account.
I have a calculation on a chart that was working well for quite a while, Then there was a network issue that stopped the data source from streaming data (this is the big triangular shape in the image below). Even though the data streaming got restored a short while after that, the issue I have is that the calculated value (the brown line) never got back to working. There was a short blip of time where it looked like it was working but that was just random values for a while. Does anyone know where I can see any logs associated with this calculation? I know you can’t edit the calculation - you have to delete it and create a new one - I guess I will likely do that but would also like to find out what the reason is for this calculation just stopping and not restarting properly?
As a user I want to be able to filter workorders by discipline so that I am easily able to identify workorders which are related to one specific type of work. As a user I would like to search work orders based on specific values in the SAP data (e.g. Task list usage = SCE) to get exact the list I am looking for.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like the ability to archive and delete unwanted checklists in InField 2.0. Currently, InField 2.0 only supports the ability to delete templates but not checklists. The only option we are given is to mark checklists as “done”. However, if this is added, it must be limited by access permissions as we do not need all users to have the ability to delete checklists.
I want to read data from Snowflake and load it to CDF RAW. Could someone suggest what can be the best solution to implement this? Are there any specific extractors for doing it ?
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like to see some functionality in InField that limits who can view and approve checklists based on discipline. An example of this is when a checklist has been opened from a maintenance work order. The process team captains should not be able to see these checklists in their “Checklists for approval” tab or even have the ability to approve any checklists that are owned by maintenance. Can the approval rights be restricted based on maintenance?
In Infield Trends section, only timeseries linked directly with the selected Asset is shown by default. This is not the same behavior as Fusion, which show the timeseries of child assets.Although we have the ability to see other trends, there might be some cases that other trends can be shown more easily, for example adding “Other time series related with this tag” under “Other time series on this tag”.
Hi All,In C# SDK Upload link description says it provide link to upload file in GKS. Does it work if CDF is hosted on Azure as well.
Is there a way to query metadata of TimeSeries from a particular dataset in CDF Transformations?Something like this, but this query isn’t workingselect cast(`externalId` as STRING) as externalId, cast(`dataSetId` as STRING) as eidfrom `_cdf`.`timeseries`where dataSetId == <data_set_id>;
1. Field ‘name’ is required during creating data model in CDF. But it is not required if create through SDK:data_models = [DataModelApply(space="mySpace",external_id="myDataModel",version="v1")] c.data_modeling.data_models.apply(data_models) 2. For data models have values in ‘name’ and ‘description’ fields these fields would be cleared up if these parameters are not specified in DataModelApply. These code will clear name and description values (if ‘myDataModel’ had them):data_models = [DataModelApply(space="mySpace",external_id="myDataModel",version="v1")] c.data_modeling.data_models.apply(data_models)These code won’t clear name and description values (if ‘myDataModel’ had them):data_models = [DataModelApply(space="mySpace",external_id="myDataModel",version="v1", name=”myDataModel”, description=”My Description”)]c.data_modeling.data_models.apply(data_models)To fix make changes in cognite-sdk:Set ‘name’ as required for DataModelApply. Fix clearing values from name and description in D
As a turnaround planner I want to have box markups improved (resize shape, define level of transparency, by default place them on the floor) so that I can use them to plan scaffolding for upcoming turnarounds. As a turnaround planner I want to have box markups showing their dimensions (like area markups) so that I can use them to plan scaffolding for upcoming turnarounds.
If I try to filter time-series with metadata (left panel in data explorer), there seems to be an “OR” logic. Wich means that if I filter on two metadata key-value pairs, I get results for all time-series that contain one (or both) of the metadata field. This makes it really hard to use metadata fields to narrow down my search in Data Explorer, because more chosen metadata fields means more time-series are shown.I would want to be able to filter with an “AND” logic, so I could narrow my search down more and more, when I select key-value pairs. For example:I select:timeSeriesCategory = “ProductionPlan” priceArea = “NO1”I want to see all results for production-plans for power plants in NO1, not all time-series that are in NO1 and all time series that are production plans.I don’t think this is possible yet.I do see why it can also be practical to be able to filter with “OR” logic, in cases where I select multiple values for a single key. For example:I select:priceArea = “NO1” priceArea = “
Hello,Working heavily with CDF, I often have to switch between various screens including Charts, Data Explorer etc. Currently, I need to click on the tab and wait for it to load to see what page it is since the titles of the page are not displayed in the tab header. Except for CDF Charts and Data Catalog, for which page titles are correctly configured, other CDF pages have only a generic title ('Cognite Data Fusion'). This includes Data Explorer, RAW Explorer, Data Model. You can check the video attached to issue 10886 for a video of the Edge browser with vertical tabs so that you can see what I am talking about. I would have loved to attach it here but there is no functionlity to allow me to do so.
Following up from a separate thread (Cognite Charts: y-axis Spacing and Labeling), adding the capability to place timestamped milestones (e.g. when an event started, when a remediation test started, etc) would add value. I sometimes need to display a time series only to mark an event (e.g. when a valve was opened, when a specific chemical injection start/ends, etc), and this leads to many times series being displayed at once (see example below). If milestones could be marked on the chart, that would be really useful. Maybe it could be added as some sort of custom time series (similar to how to “Add Calculation”) fixed to a specific timestamp and could appear as a vertical line with some marker at the top - this is just me thinking out loud. Thanks,Richard
