Doing the ‘hands-on’ for Data Engineer Basics - “Learn to Use the Cognite Python SDK “ Course."I am down to adding labels to assets.The code fails at the last line above with the error:CogniteAPIError: Type definitions deleted: {externalId: cold-countries}. | code: 400 | X-Request-ID: 50b63199-cac6-9ab3-99ac-3b6ac768ecce Please can someone explain:what does this error mean? what can be done to eliminate the errorThank you.Doug

Improved property selection in Data Modelling

Hi all!The Cognite Data Modelling product team are looking to make an improvement to how properties from views selected in data modelling graph queries are included in the result data set.The documented and desired behaviour is that only view properties that are explicitly selected in the query will be included in the data output. However, there is a known issue with property selection where in some cases a query would return more properties per view than initially selected.The issue manifests such that properties selected on one view will also be included in the result properties of another view in the query. This behaviour only appears in specific cases: the selection should be in the same table expression, the selection should use two or more views that share some container properties, and one or more shared properties (that is, properties mapped to the same container property) should be selected in one of the views but not in the other.As such, the issue does not cause a data leak

Conversation Threads in Industrial CanvasGathering Interest

Ability to start a conversation thread inside Industrial Canvas in CDF. Ability to tag users in the conversation thread. Ability to categorize these conversations. For Example, Troubleshooting Composition issues, or efficiency monitoring, or monthly status meeting or Root Cause Analysis. Ability to retrieve all conversation history from past troubleshooting exercises for a specific Canvas based on dates, categories, usernames etc. Ability to make these conversations public, private or accessible to select users chosen by whoever created the Canvas. Ability to tag a specific document, chart, drawing etc. inside that canvas to the conversation. Search results on CDF should show another category (similar to Assets, Timeseries, Files etc.) listing all Canvases and conversations which that asset is part sorted by (recent date or importance etc.) Ability to attach a link of these conversations in MS Teams/Outlook meeting notice etc.

Metadata field "Creation date". The metadata fields are user created fields and not filtered through main CDF Explorer filter.Gathering Interest

CDF - Filter option is not working as expected under common filters at Data Explorer screen. Login to CDF Click on Data Explorer tab in CDF menu bar. Click on Files tab in right side of the panel. Set Data set as 'src:006:documentum:b60:ds under Common filters in left side of the screen. Select the check box ‘Before’ under common filters in left side of the penal. Click on the Calendar icon and set data as (e.g.) '10-01-2023' Expected results: Document ‘Amarjeet_Test_DT.docx’ should not display in results window because its created after the set date.Actual results: Document Amarjeet_Test_DT.docx is displaying in CDFNote Issue exists for all Date filters like Created time, updated time with Before, After, During in CDF, user want to know what date is used for filtering the documents in CDF with these filters.

Linking one canvas to another interactivelyPlanned for development

Do you have in the product roadmap to integrate one canvas to another. Such that you can have several canvas at various granular levels ( System view, asset view, platform) and all of them could be connected so that its easy and intuitive for a usecase.

Pin multiple latest values to a canvas annotated drawingPlanned for development

The ability to pin latest values to a drawing in canvas is fantastic, but on most our assets we have more than one timeseries linked to that equipment. Is it possible to add the ability to pin several timeseries to the same equipment. Also to pin additional timeseries that is not contextualized to any asset on top of a document/file/drawing.In addition for consumers of the content the context of the value is needed, so we need the ability to show units like in the old infographics.

Having trouble instantiatiating a CogniteClient

Hello,I am trying to follow along the first chapter in Data Engineer Basics - Integrate. I am trying to follow the first workbook : Authentication. When I try to install poetry, I get an error below.Can anyone let me know how I may troubleshoot? Industry Canvas: Need option to make Calculations in Charts visible when the chart is added to a CanvasImplemented

End users expressed the need to be able to share and see the calculations that are behind a chart, when the chart is embedded in a canvas and the canvas is shared with others. At present only the trend lines from charts seems to be embedded into Canvas.

Postman does not work properly after authorization

I have begun the module: I followed instructions down to setting the environment variables:Then, authorization was updated: Get New Access Token is successful. Use Token clicked Then, to test, I went:  Cognite API collection > "Assets" folder > "List assets" > SendThis gives Error:  So, I deselect “minCreatedTime” parameter. (THERE IS NOTHING in the documentation that talks about this.)  The, press “Send” again.But then get this error when testing:So, deselect  “maxCreatedTime” , and progressively deselect minLastUpdatedTime; maxLastUpdatedTime as indicated by error messages.Finally,  Gives the error: Therefore, my attempt to list the assets in the CDF project has failed. Next, I try to list the timeseries data: timeseries > list time series > SendTry deselecting all the query parameters > Send   This time there is a listing of timeseries:  My questions:Q1. How can i get the "`Client ID` - the ID of the application in Azure AD." in the Learn of "Use the CognitePython SDK training"?

I notice that i have three Tenant ID in my AAD count.I think i should use the Cognite Hub Tenant ID,It’s that right?when I try to create a new application,  Azure told me I have no access to create a application.Am I doing it right?  Which Org should I apply the permission to create an app under this tenant, RA or Cognite Hub?

Cognite InField 2.0: Hyperlink to a specific TemplatePlanned for development

User wants to have a Hyperlink to a specific Template in InField 2.0. The reason behind - Today employees get Training (incl. the checklists) and it would be important to connect the template with the training material (in a training system) to be able to see who is trained and with which version of a checklist. For this reason, it would be great to have Hyperlink to the Template.

Canvas: Y axis "unmerges" when inserting Chart

When displaying many similar time series together in Charts, it is useful to select “Merge unit” to reduce the number of Y axes. This functionality does not follow the chart when inserted in a canvas. Have I missed something here?

CDF: Time stamp format for data downloaded as CSV from Charts, needs to match the format from APIGathering Interest

When data is downloaded in CSV format, the time stamp format is not as detailed and we would like the timestamp format to match the output format when it is retrieved from API, which is like 2024-04-14 10:08:19.115000-05:00

Data Explorer: Do not automatically expand/minimize when clicking on branchGathering Interest

When using Data Explorer, if you click on an Asset, that branch will expand, and others will minimize.  Sometimes I want to be able to switch between similar Assets that are in different hierarchies (Example being two different lines in a plant, or two different facilities).  The current behavior is that if you click on an Asset all other asset trees will be minimized.  Even if you manually expanded other hierarchies/trees, clicking an asset will reset the view.Would be nice to either have an option (checkbox) to auto-minimize or change this default behavior.   Example Tree:Plant 1: Tank1 Mixer1 Press Plant 2: Press Mixer Oven Tank If I were to click on Plant1>Tank1, all of Plant 2 would get minimized.  If I were to expand plant 2 manually then click on Plant1>Tank1, again then Plant 2 would once again get minimized.  Ideally I’d like for Plant 2 to stay expanded until I manually minimized it.
