As a turnaround planner I want to have box markups improved (resize shape, define level of transparency, by default place them on the floor) so that I can use them to plan scaffolding for upcoming turnarounds. As a turnaround planner I want to have box markups showing their dimensions (like area markups) so that I can use them to plan scaffolding for upcoming turnarounds.
If I try to filter time-series with metadata (left panel in data explorer), there seems to be an “OR” logic. Wich means that if I filter on two metadata key-value pairs, I get results for all time-series that contain one (or both) of the metadata field. This makes it really hard to use metadata fields to narrow down my search in Data Explorer, because more chosen metadata fields means more time-series are shown.I would want to be able to filter with an “AND” logic, so I could narrow my search down more and more, when I select key-value pairs. For example:I select:timeSeriesCategory = “ProductionPlan” priceArea = “NO1”I want to see all results for production-plans for power plants in NO1, not all time-series that are in NO1 and all time series that are production plans.I don’t think this is possible yet.I do see why it can also be practical to be able to filter with “OR” logic, in cases where I select multiple values for a single key. For example:I select:priceArea = “NO1” priceArea = “
Hello,Working heavily with CDF, I often have to switch between various screens including Charts, Data Explorer etc. Currently, I need to click on the tab and wait for it to load to see what page it is since the titles of the page are not displayed in the tab header. Except for CDF Charts and Data Catalog, for which page titles are correctly configured, other CDF pages have only a generic title ('Cognite Data Fusion'). This includes Data Explorer, RAW Explorer, Data Model. You can check the video attached to issue 10886 for a video of the Edge browser with vertical tabs so that you can see what I am talking about. I would have loved to attach it here but there is no functionlity to allow me to do so.
Following up from a separate thread (Cognite Charts: y-axis Spacing and Labeling), adding the capability to place timestamped milestones (e.g. when an event started, when a remediation test started, etc) would add value. I sometimes need to display a time series only to mark an event (e.g. when a valve was opened, when a specific chemical injection start/ends, etc), and this leads to many times series being displayed at once (see example below). If milestones could be marked on the chart, that would be really useful. Maybe it could be added as some sort of custom time series (similar to how to “Add Calculation”) fixed to a specific timestamp and could appear as a vertical line with some marker at the top - this is just me thinking out loud. Thanks,Richard
On behalf of Celanese super users:I would like the ability to save layouts/templates for common filters that I use when searching for data in CDF. Currently, every time I use CDF, need to apply similar filters in order to focus my data search, such as dataset and/or additional metadata filters. If I was able to utilize user defined layouts this would make the user experience more streamlined and approachable.
As a functional planner I would like to copy a project with a set of activities as they will repeat for the next project such that I dont have to create the activities again and save timeToday the workaround is the functional planner exports and imports the activities again.
Hi everyone, I would like to know if there are timeout restrictions for functions, as I've been executing a function that reads data from a RAWs table in batches, and since there are many records (1M), it takes up to 10 minutes and I get a timeout error. Is there a way to configure this restriction? Running the same function code on a local machine takes around 2 or 3 hours. Can we have a text-editing mode in Cognite Hub where we can type Markdown? We developers love markdown.
On behalf of Celanese Charts super users:As a user in Charts, when viewing “Public” charts, I would like to see some sort of folder categorization structure to improve navigation and searching. Currently, the public charts tab shows all charts that have been created. It is difficult to understand what could be relevant to my specific role without the additional context provided in the descriptions or opening each individual chart. It would be great to have the ability to group the charts by operating unit or even discipline. This will make it a bit easier to understand what is available.
I have heard that InRobot supports Spot versions up to v3.2.x.When will it officially support the latest version, v4.0.0?
December 15th 2022 - SLB Offices @ Pune, IndiaOn the week of Dec 12th to Dec 16th, Maureen Byrne (Software Engineer), Maria Fonseca (Technical Support Engineer) and me (Data Engineer) travelled to Pune, India, to deliver the first Cognite Data Fusion Bootcamp for eighteen participants from SLB and Infosys. This training delivery marks a milestone for customer and partners of Cognite: this is the first training where Cognite instructors guide them through an end-to-end deployment of Cognite Data Fusion, including data integrations and solution-building.The bootcamp is an intensive 5-day training program that focuses on a complete deployment, bringing the different steps together with DevOps best practices from CDF bootstrapping to solution deployment, monitoring, and operations. Congratulations to the participants of the first bootcamp for gaining their Cognite Data Fusion Bootcamp Certificate! The three of us were very impressed by how fast the participants adopted DataOps tools and pra
We need the ability to look at data beyond 1 year from Infield. We also need the ability to track exceedances as counts against the limits over a period of time. This should be a default feature.
1. Field ‘name’ is required during creating data model in CDF. But it is not required if create through SDK:data_models = [DataModelApply(space="mySpace",external_id="myDataModel",version="v1")] c.data_modeling.data_models.apply(data_models) 2. For data models have values in ‘name’ and ‘description’ fields these fields would be cleared up if these parameters are not specified in DataModelApply. These code will clear name and description values (if ‘myDataModel’ had them):data_models = [DataModelApply(space="mySpace",external_id="myDataModel",version="v1")] c.data_modeling.data_models.apply(data_models)These code won’t clear name and description values (if ‘myDataModel’ had them):data_models = [DataModelApply(space="mySpace",external_id="myDataModel",version="v1", name=”myDataModel”, description=”My Description”)]c.data_modeling.data_models.apply(data_models)To fix make changes in cognite-sdk:Set ‘name’ as required for DataModelApply. Fix clearing values from name and description in D
Doing the ‘hands-on’ for Data Engineer Basics - “Learn to Use the Cognite Python SDK “ Course."I have done the following:Make a dataframe from reading from a csv file: One of the columns in the csv file is ‘region’. The 5 different values in the region column are When the above code is run, the following appears on the screen: Q1. Does this mean pandas has interpreted the region “None” as “nan”? If so that would explain why the following code throws “ValueError: Out of range float values are not JSON compliant. Make sure your data does not contain NaN(s) or +/- Inf!” I would value your guidance as I have not worked with pandas() much at all.Thank you,Doug
which types of files supports (read directly) for P&ID and 3D model with CDF ?
Hello, I am trying to perform a calculation on Charts but it does not work. It is a multiplication of 4 time series, all of them with a resample to granularity to 1m. One of them has real values and 3 of them are 0/1 steps. When I zoom out, I can see the calculation and it shows a pick of values, that is not accurate as it shows average data. Although when I zoon in to see the data, the trend disappears, the error says “One of the time series has less than two values”. As I resampled the data to 1 minute, I was expecting to see one values per minute, but it does not seems to happen. Is there other way to calculate the data correctly? Zoom in:
CDF - Multiple Events are not selectable in Events filters under Cognite Charts. Login to CDF UI Navigate to Data Explorer screen. Click on the Charts tab in menu bar Click on New Chart button. Click on the Events button on right side of the penal Click on Add Filter button Select the Asset e.g: ‘02-V-0203’ from Asset filter. Select Events under the Types filter. Expected Results: User should be able to select multiple Events under Type filter and Subtype filter.Observed Results: User can select one Event but not more than one under Type and Subtype filters.

In order to request aggregates from large views in Data Modeling into PowerBI, it would be beneficial to have the /aggregate endpoint exposed in OData (and PowerBI as a result). Otherwise all the data needs to downloaded to PowerBI first and perform the aggregates locally, this lowers the performance and is not possible for views with millions of instances.
Filling out on behalf of an engineer super user: When looking through the files of an asset, I only see the P&ID number in the “Tree” view. There should be more information like P&ID title or other details while still in the Tree view so it’s easier to understand what the P&ID contains without having to enter each P&ID/equipment drawing to find out.Scratched the names out in the image below, but say you have a P&ID named “12AB0123” - this doesn’t tell the user very much information.
As a user, the current options for the column width adjustment are limited and this option would improve the functionality of the tool.
My colleague sent me a pic, it’s from a demo project named “essc-sandbox-44”, we need the project to show to the customer to win this opportunity, But we don’t know who is the owner in this project, how can i contract the owner and join this project?the project maybe in this domain.https://ftdatamosaix.fusion.cognite.comthank you
Exploring Cognite CDF
End users from Reliability and Maintenance groups at Celanese would like the ability to search and pull SAP work orders in Cognite Infield 2.0, using work order numbers in the search field. It has been discussed with end users who brought this idea forward and it is of Low Priority.
Hi. For some reason my events retreived via the CDF data source for Grafana come with time stamps in epoch format:In the examples given in the documentation, events are returned with a human-readable time format. Any idea what I am doing wrong here?
