Add programming language support for seismic SDK

Related products: API and SDKs

Can Cognite develop C# and C++ supported SDKs which includes functionality to handle OIDC authentication?

Currently if end users of Seismic CDF want to use the SDK we are dependent on their software supporting Python. A lot of software dealing with seismic data is written in C# or C++ and having SDK supporting these languages would greatly increase the assimilability of the Seismic SDKs out of the box.

Other programming languages that could be of interest is Java.

Hi Espen, thanks for your request.

Currently we are evaluating the possibility to add another SDK to support the Seismic API.

Thanks and regards

@Elka Sierra  Are there any updates to this request?

Hi @esgrim , based on other requests we had we decided to provide an SDK that facilitates using our gRPC interface from javascript and typescript web pages. The SDK is geared towards web front-end development but can also be used for backend Node.js applications.

Please let me know if you would be interested in testing this new SDK, it is currently available only under request.

Thanks and Regards

Elka

@Elka Sierra Providing SDK support for Java does not really help us that much as the applications are mostly using C# or C++.

Hi Espen,

Thank you for your request. Regrettably, I must inform you that developing SDKs for C# or C++ for the seismic service is not within the scope of our current product strategy. As a result, I'm sorry to say that this ticket will be closed.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,
Elka
