Some tips:

  1. turn off blockers in your browsers (if you have any)
  2. “network issue”… yess, the system is overloaded … refresh & try again, and again ;-)
  3. you see “selected recipe is invalid...” message? Your preview failed (98% network issue). Try again, or just go ahead.
  4. “failed to lock this transform” message? probably the transform is finished (check the dataset) if not, run it again. [yes, the same network/overload issue]

Thanks for sharing these great tips, @BBB! Refreshing the page or trying again indeed usually does the trick.

Previewing the transformation is a best practice we strongly recommend. However, as you’re saying: if there’s a network issue, don’t worry. You can skip the preview step and continue with the course.

Good luck with the rest of the path and the assessment!

I’m having issue following the “Contextualize using entity matcher” lesson within the “Working With CDF: Contextualize”. My datasets aren’t appearing.

I tried to restart and refresh.

I’ve closed and reopened.

For some reason, I can find my dataset in any of the tools I’ve used (Explore, Transform, Create, etc.) EXCEPT entity matching…

Can someone help?

Hi again @Mahmoud Shihab

I am not able to see your transformations nor your datasets. Can you please check from your end if you can see them, and provide a screenshot if possible?

Thank you!

Hi Madina,

I’m a little embarrassed to say this, but I ended up using the SQL entity matching for the course in order to continue to the assessment. But as I was wrapping up the course, I got to the clean up stage, and forgot that I had posted this issue.

My apologies.

I can try it once more and provide a screenshot of the issue I am receiving.

Should just take a moment

No worries at all! We are happy that you could proceed with the SQL option and congratulations on your completion.

Yes, please let us know if you experience the issue again whenever you have time to try it out.

Best regards,
Madina

Hi Madina,

I think there might have been something with the first Data Set, because this one can be found.

I’m not sure what the initial issue was, but I guess a tip to anyone is if your dataset isn’t found the first time, try recreating it. That’s what worked for me.

Thanks again for your assistance Madina.

Hello,

I am facing a issue with Entity Matcher module, I have my datasets created but not able to search them in the screenshot below. I was able to see one of them, I refreshed to see another but then both of them disappeared .

Hi Deepali,

I had the same issue as well! I’m not sure why, but it just eventually worked when I recreated my datasets again from scratch. At the time, I ended up deleting everything and rebuilding it all from scratch, but it eventually worked for me.

I know it’s not the best answer, but try rebuilding/creating new datasets…

Hopefully Madina might be able to tackle the issue when she can.

Note: Don’t delete the ones you’ve made now so Madina can see why it’s not working as expecgted
