I’m currently using charts to do a calculation that involves Logic Check blocks. It would be nice if I could add a comment to the calculation so that future engineers can easily understand what the calculation is doing.
On the 3D model accessed via Search: When I press the measurement tool button, a toolbar shows up at the bottom with options of how to measure. This toolbar is great, but I didn’t notice it because it was at the bottom, and thought the measurement tool was broken. Can we move the measurement toolbar to show up at the top?
Want ability to click & delete connectors between calculation nodes in Charts.
Hi, I’d love to be able to change the format of timestamps in Charts. Right now timestamps appear in 24-hour time (e.g. 17:00) but I’d like to see it displayed in 12-hour time with AM/PM (e.g. 5:00 PM). It would be great if these formats could be picked up from the user’s operating system preferences OR users could set their preference in CDF. Thanks!
Let’s say you are doing some dashboarding of CDF data in a 3rd party app like Grafana. You have some events where you need to see more details about the timeseries associated with those events. Yes, you can do some of that in Grafana but it would be good to use CDF Charts as a more capable tool. I envision a method in the 3rd party tool where a URL string could be built up from the selected event to include timeseries names and start/end datetimes that would navigate to the CDF chart. Alternatively, the URL might contain the name of an existing CDF chart.
Difficult [to know] what can and what can’t be done at a time series tag level in the extrator configuration. We see there some sections under extraction like update or transformations and thought they should be the way to achieve our goal, but we don’t have examples on how and why to use them or what the capabilities are, just a few descriptions on the example yml. Is there any repository with working use cases?
This is an Adoption Blocker for Search. The Filters are too complex for our users to use. Please implement a dropdown list under each resource type with their categories. Drop down list under "Assets": The items in the "Catalog Profile Description" filter.Drop down list under "Files": The items in the "type" (LOWERCASE) filter.Drop down list under "Events": The items in the "Subtype" filter. This way the user can navigate straight to all "Pressure relief device" assets, or all "P&ID" files, or all "work order" events, etc.
Posting this on behalf of @Kjetil André Edstrøm :In the Work Orders list on a tag/asset’s overview page, I would like to not only see work orders that are directly linked to the asset/tag, but also work orders that contain operations that are linked to that tag/asset
When you try to enter an Infield numeric input task on a tablet, the first thing that comes up is the alphabet character input screen. In order to enter the numbers, you have to tap the tablet to switch between them, but it is very troublesome to do it every time. When entering a numeric input task, I think it would be much easier to use if it was possible to enter numbers by default.
add "parent" activity number + operation number to Infield operations [customized fields showing]
add "parent" activity number + operation number to Maintain operations [customized fields showing]
Users have requested the following with respect to trending in InField:X-axis to show dates matching user's system. In our case, in MM/DD format instead of DD/MM format like it is now. Sort the trends alphabetically Add descriptions to the trends.
When the end user is analyzing if the checklist is completed and all the tasks were filled it’s also interesting to review if the operator had added notes to any task. We want to be able to see if we have notes or images attached to a task inside a group, something like this:
Hi,Referring to this ticket:We use this Javascript SDK function DataPointsAPI.retrieve retrieve the aggregated data points for multiple timeseries externalids with different granularities like 1min, 10 min. If the datapoints for multiple timeseries externalids goes beyond 10000, then SDK (internally API) throws this error { "error": { "code": 400, "message": "Sum of limits for aggregate data points can not exceed 10000" }} Is it possible to handle this scenario in SDK itself and returns the cursor accordingly. Instead of throwing an error, if the datapoints across timeseries external ids goes beyond 10000, then SDK could retry the API call with default limits and return the cursor. The another option could be to consider Limit as None like Python SDK and SDK does the required optimizations so client doesn’t need to handle many conditions.
BackgroundIt appears that currently we don’t have a way to automate the migration of CDF Cavases created in CDF dev to CDF prod. This would mean that it will be necessary to re-create all the Canvases in prod CDF project. Proposal If there is API support for retrieving a representation of a Canvas, it will be possible to easily migrate that to a different CDF project.Represent CDF Canvases in data-sets. Add SDK capability to retrieve the object representation of the Canvas. This should allow migration of Canvases in-between different CDF projects.
Our team has already a lot of canvases in our environment but there is no way of filtering or organizing our canvases. I want to be able to filter by only the canvases that I am added to.
Ive received 2 personal messages here in the Hub. There is no way to delete them. Please add the ability to remove personal messages.
If I am investigating an equipment or a timeseries using Canvas, I would think it’s nice to have the ability of exporting the Monitoring Jobs history to my Canvas in a table format, so I can see every time my time series has generated an alarm:
Redirect user to the Canvas after they, for example, add a file to an existing Canvas from Search, or add a chart from Charts.
Hello,When using CDF the toolkit, for example, we need to write group capabilities as JSON.To retrieve the group capabilities in a JSON format, we currently have to go to Developer Tools > Network, select the right request and get the JSON.It would be nice if we could just download the group manifest (like we can do for transformations) directly in the UI.
On behalf of Celanese Bishop users:In some units, we have several equipment that operate in spare: while one is working, the other is stopped and periodically they switch. Roughly, half of the equipment in each unit operate in this condition. During the rounds, the operators have to take readings from the equipment that is working at that time. What we have done so far in Infield is creating tasks for both of them, but this leads to around a quarter of the readings to be set as “Not applicable” or to be left empty. Both options are far from ideal: while the first could detract from the user experience and potentially introduce additional barriers to adoption, the latter creates confusion when delving into the details within the summary dashboards (in the lines of “were these tasks left empty intentionally or they are just missing?”). Therefore, we request an improved way of configuring these checklists, so the operator can just set which equipment is operating and the readings will be taken only for this equipment. The spare one, ideally, would not have any readings to take.
This extra step could be solved by having a dedicated URL or something similar. Will this be solved with Q1 unification? CDF does not require this step, to my knowledge.
If the status flag timeseries has fewer data points than the main timeseries, it prematurely cuts off the calculated timeseries. Can you make the output of the status flag filter stop producing results only when the status flag actually turns off?Without status flag filter function (for reference):With status flag filter, output stops prematurely:
