On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake Utilities InField Super UsersWould like to see Yes/No options included as status field in InField templates. This is especially important to the Utilities team as they implement their EHS check sheets which are regulated and routinely reviewed. The Ok/Not Ok fields do not satisfy this requirement. Example below:1.1 T0082 overhead pipe rack leaking? - (Yes/No)The above example can be confusing when restricted to (Ok/Not Ok) fields. Would “Ok” mean the there is a leak or the opposite? The Utilities team has expressed this concern primarily due to having to re-train the unit to understand the new nomenclature and would prefer to keep the (Yes/No) fields moving forward.
On behalf of Celanese CDF super users:CDF currently limits PDF searching to 50 pages maximum. Scanned historical records are often 300+ Pages. The PDF's also load unacceptably slow. Users are forced to use source systems to access these files rather than CDF or Infield due to these limitations.
On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake Utilities super userDoes Charts currently support the option to create cumulative sum calculations? For example, when calculating total usage/consumption of fuel gas across the site, the user usually has to get the individual data points from the raw data sources and then do the calculation manually in an excel sheet. The user has to repeat these calculations every month.Could Charts potentially automate this calculation to provide real-time data to display a summary of data as it grows over time for consumption/usage? Also, would Charts be able to “reset” this calculation every month?
On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake InField super users:As a user, I have no way of knowing which synthetic tags are existing outside of my checklist/template items without having to search through CDF. This is a problem if we decide to rework our checklist/template items and create new tag names without realizing that there may be an existing tag name for that line item/asset with linked historical data.I would like to see some functionality that lets me see/search existing synthetic tags for my unit within my template. This could be a simple dropdown when adding an item to a checklist/template. This will allow users to maintain continuity and retain historical data linked to specific tags where a new tag does not need to be created.
On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake R&D InField Super Users:When creating a manual checklist in InField, if you select a manually created state for a checklist item InField does not mark the checklist item as complete. However, if you select the default “Ok” state for the item this then marks the item as complete. Is this as designed? On behalf of Celanese Utilities super users:As a user, I would like the option to take multiple readings per line item within a single checklist. We have various readings that we take 3-4 times a day or even twice a shift. Right now my only option is to create multiple checklists to represent the different measurement intervals/shifts. The advanced scheduling option only facilitates a day/night shift or essentially “two” readings per line item per checklist.I would like to see a drop down of sort where I am able to select a measurement frequency per shift/day of the week. This will prevent us from over-crowding the application with duplicated checklists and allow for more streamlined reporting.
On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake InField super usres:When creating/editing a template in InField, I would like the ability to choose where my new line item is added in my checklist. This is especially important when editing existing templates that could have hundreds of line items. InField by default creates the new item at the bottom of the checklist and I would then have to click and drag the item where I would like it to be. This process is very time consuming and tedious. If instead, I am able to insert new items anywhere within my checklist it would save so much more time.
On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake InField super users:When creating a template in InField, I would like the ability to create branches of logic for specific checklists items such as an “IF” statement. This feature would allow me to have certain line items appear only if a specific response is provided. In InField’s current state, I can only provide “N/A” as a response for items that do not apply given the current state. This can make the checklists longer than they may need to be. An example of this can be as below:Is pump seal leaking? (If yes, please complete the following.) Leak report filed? Time detected? Time corrected?
On behalf of Celanese InField super users: When releasing a checklist in InField 2.0, it is not immediately clear what date the checklist had been opened. In InField 1.0, the release date was made part of the checklist title and made it easier to distinguish between other similar checklists that had been released. Can this feature be brought back into 2.0? Or at least make the release date easier to distinguish? @Kristoffer Knudsen
On Behalf of Charts super users at Clear Lake:I would like the ability to incorporate “If/Else” statements as a function in Charts similar to what is capable in Excel. There are some calculations that rely on certain conditional parameters to be met in order to define which mathematical approach must be taken.
On behalf of InField super users at Celanese:When trending timeseries using InField, all available time series for a specific asset are loaded in at once by default. Depending on how many timeseries are available for the specified asset, this can really bog down InField as it is trying to process that information. If the system doesn’t lock up at that point, the user then has to go and deselect all of the tags that they do not want to see. Can this be updated so that, by default, no tags are loaded in and the user is instead able to select the tags that they want to see?
On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake InField super users:When creating a template in InField, I want the ability to link assets across the site regardless of my unit. Some assets are shared between multiple units (i.e Utilities/LDR & Shipping). Other assets may be aligned to one unit but maintained by a different unit. By having the units and their associated assets in silos, this could lead to potentially losing out on valuable data.
On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake InField super users:As a user, when creating a template in InField, I would like the ability to choose from a standardized list of units (UOM). This will help standardize template creation across the site and avoid confusion due to discrepancies related to variation and syntax errors. An example of this can be seen below:PSI > psi > psig or GPM > gpm > gal/min
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like the ability to group and categorize my templates based on type. As we continue to digitize our checklists, the list of templates can become very long. This then leads to constant scrolling in InField to find the template that I need. Given that our checklists range from different types such as “Reading Sheets” or “EHSA Checklists”, it would be great if I could group these in a similar functionality that you see in the “Archived templates” tab (see below). This would make template navigation and management much easier.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like the ability to visualize/trend the previous value that was captured in a checklist within the task without having to use Charts/trend overview page. This will allow me to have visibility on downward trending items while executing a checklist and provide insight to items that may require escalation.
On behalf of Celanese Charts super users:When adding a new node on the canvas of a calculation, Charts uses the origin of where you are on the canvas to bring in new nodes. It would be beneficial for Charts to instead center new nodes using the equation/function as the point of origin. This would make it easier to manage larger calculations and decrease the chances of losing track of newly added nodes that may have been added outside of your current area of view in the canvas. This is especially important as the calculation canvas has a limit on how much you are able to zoom in/out. Example of a node added outside of range of the calculation
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:As a user, when using the advanced scheduling option, I would like the ability to archive/close specific shifts when completed within the week without having to wait for the complete week to be finished. This will allow for streamlined reporting on a day/shift basis withing a week schedule.This feature is also important in preventing data integrity issues. As it stands, a user can go to a previous days reading within the week and change it given that the checklist remains open for the entire week.
On behalf of Celanese InField users:I would like the ability to utilize the automatic scheduling capabilities while also taking advantage of the advanced scheduling options in InField. This will allow me to schedule my checklists throughout the week and not have to worry about needing to manually locate and open the checklists every time. As it stands, the automatic release and advanced scheduling options are mutually exclusive and considered their own “template type” at creation. I would instead like the ability to select these as option on any template that I create in the future.
On behalf of Celanese InField 2.0 super users:Can the threshold for triggering offline mode be adjusted? Based on this Cognite Hub posting, it is understood that offline mode is only triggered when there is a complete loss of connection. Currently, users are experiencing issues with offline mode triggering during instances of slow/poor connectivity. We are noticing with the Zebra devices specifically, that they tend to hold on to a connection signal for as long as they can regardless of the strength of the signal. This is causing instances where the connection becomes so poor that the users are unable to capture their data and, in some cases, lose their data during a signal transition phase by which the devices switch to a stronger signal connection. The devices are never truly in a “no connectivity” state and therefore Infield never initiates offline mode.This is currently a high priority issue and is causing two units at the site to consider forcing the devices into airplane mode and
On behalf of Celanese Maintain super users: I would like the ability to attach non-contextualized files/documents to my canvas in Maintain. Currently, Maintain only has the ability to attach documents that exist in CDF and have been contextualized to an asset. There are often cases where, in addition to your standard documentation (P&ID for example), supporting files/documents need to be assigned to a work order such as material quotations, images/videos, and PM paperwork (equipment inspection forms) that would not be available in CDF.@Marius Biermann
On behalf of the learning facilitator for the VAM unit:Can the capability to roll-back a previously approved checklists be added as a feature for admins in InField? The reasoning behind this is recently a checklist was accidently approved by one of my team captains before being completed and there was no way to go back and complete the remaining checklist items without opening a new checklist for that shift.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like to see some functionality in InField that limits who can view and approve checklists based on discipline. An example of this is when a checklist has been opened from a maintenance work order. The process team captains should not be able to see these checklists in their “Checklists for approval” tab or even have the ability to approve any checklists that are owned by maintenance. Can the approval rights be restricted based on maintenance?
On behalf of Celanese Charts super users:I would like the ability to compute min/max across multiple inputs at once. Currently, the Element-wise Minimum/Maximum function can only compute between two inputs. In order to extend the function to include other inputs, I must create duplicate functions and create branch calculations. It would be much easier to just assign a range of inputs to the function from the start and produce a single output.
On behalf of Celanese Clear Lake InField super user:When creating a template in InField, I would like the ability to copy and paste, or duplicate a line item in my checklist. In most cases, checklists items are repeated throughout with only a few minor changes. It would save so much more time to copy and paste repeated items and make the minor adjustments rather than having to retype each line item individually.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:As a user, when marking a section of line items as “N/A”, I would like the completion status to show that the section was marked as “N/A” and highlighted as yellow. Instead, InField currently shows the status as “Done” and highlights the section in green. This gives the impression that the tasks were completed, which is not the case.
