Are there any parking options available for Houston bootcamp? There is parking both outside and in a garage near the ion.
Thank you for the feedback! Several links are already updated!!
@vsanwaria Thank you for letting us know. Could you also give us the link to the course you’re talking about? :)
Hi @vsanwaria Is this the link you’re trying to enter? https://cognite-sdk-python.readthedocs-hosted.com/en/latest/
Hi. Will be it OK if I miss the first half of the in-person bootcamp day? Can I later catch-up with that (any recording etc.)? Hi @Michael Shkapin! The first day of the bootcamp is the most busy day, and there will be no recording of the day. All tho there are a short presentation in the beginning of every day, the rest will happen in person, face-to-face, in the classroom. If there is no way you can make it, you could try to follow the documentation you will be given and complete the tasks at home. But it is not recommend. Is it the first half or the second half you will not be able to attend?cc: @Ben Petree
Hi @Kristina W!Unfortunately we don’t have any glossary but I can tell you what the ones you mentioned stands for: API = Application programming interfaceSDK = Software Development kitCLI = Command-line interfaceLet me know if there is anything else I can help you with!
Okay. Then this makes sense! The database and table we are reading from is pre-uploaded in the project used for the course. But what you can do if you want to continue using the Aker Solutions sandbox is to create a database called “IFSBD” and a table called “maintenance”. This has to be done for time series and datapoints as well. You do the same as when you created your FirstnameBirthyear database and “assets” table. Remember to use the correct names. Database: IFSDBTable: maintenance Under the same database you can create the table “sensors” for time series and “values” for datapoints.
As long as you use the “cdf-fundamentals” CDF project, this relation should exist.
Hi @CLP Which CDF project are you working in?
Hi @Aleksander Poverud Did you try to run it without the data set part? Since datapoints is such a big amount of data it is not always ideal to ‘preview’ datapoints. But for the preview part, your additional line of code is doing the trick!
There’s been an update in the UI. It is noe updated in the course as well! Thanks you so much @Thais Tozatto Verissimo Lobo for letting us know and also being able to solve it.
@Asan Arifov I didn’t get this issue myself. But if you still do, please create a data set that is not write protected.
@Asan Arifov Thank you for your feedback! I’ll look into that
Hi @Asan Arifov Which course are you working on? You could also send us the url from learn.cognite.com
Hi @Asan Arifov Are you able to do a list assets call?
Hi @Philips Could are able to authenticate in the first cell in the notebook?
Hi @JustinKracht In order to help you I need some more information. I can't see the entire error message in the screenshot. I have to mention that we are working on that particular course and there will be an updated version soon. The first method provides 3 ways of authentication. Please reset everything and try to run only the very first. If you read the instructions, the last method presented will not work since you are not given a client secret.
Hi @Johannes Hovda! I don’t think you are doing anything wrong! It just means that there is no asset with that id! We are currently working on updating this particular course. What could have happened is that the data has been deleted by us or another learner. if you do client.assets.list(), you should see a list of assets. You can try to choose an id from that list to use instead for now :)
Hi @Colin Flanagan! Have you tried to re-run the transformation with the correct data set id?
Thank you so much for your feedback! I’ll have to set a side some time to investigate this! I’ll get back to you right after Easter!Sofie, Cognite Academy
Thank you so much for your feedback on this as well! We’ll make an update of the course, and thank you for also finding a solution for it!Sofie, Cognite Academy

Hi again @jasar!We don’t have that as I know of. We have the OID, but not raw data. What about the CDF Transformation course? https://learn.cognite.com/path/data-engineer-basics-transform-and-contextualize/cdf-transformations-course In the course you get some raw data and need to transform and contextualize it yourself. Here you’re only given the raw data and need to do transformation from scratch yourself (in CDF Fundamentals you’re given the SQL query). So if you havn’t taken that course, I recommend that, But other than that, Cognite Academy doesn’t have any other raw data available. Sofie, Cognite Academy
Hi @Thilak Bhaskar! The CDF Bootcamp projects is only available for those attending the bootcamp and also only while they attend it. The CDF Bootcamp is a in-person 5-day training camp on CDF. If you have registered for one of these bootcamps, then the CDF preparation course is the only thing you need to do before the bootcamp (along with some other academy courses that you should have been informed about). So if you have registered to such a bootcamp, access to the CDF projects is not given until the start of the the training week. Sofie, Cognite Academy
Hi @jasar! Have you or your colleague taken the CDF Fundamentals course on learn.cognite.com?There are some data dumps that we use in the course to learn how to transform and contextualize data. Sofie, Cognite Academy
