【Streamlit】 Managing Permissions for Editing and Deleting Source Code
Streamlit is an extremely useful tool for building apps and dashboards, but currently, anyone with the appropriate permissions can edit or delete the original source code.
This creates the risk of accidentally editing or deleting someone else’s source code, and restoring it can be difficult.
Therefore, we believe that adding the following features would enhance security:
・By default, only the creator should be granted permissions to edit or delete source code. However, since there are many situations where you might want to designate co-editors or co-administrators, it should be possible to grant editing and deletion permissions to any member.
・Users without editing or deletion permissions should be able to view and download the source code.
Please note that these specifications pertain to source code editing under “Data Fusion” → “Build Solutions”; we do not believe it is necessary to impose usage restrictions on apps published under “Flows” → “Custom Apps,” and we believe the current approach remains appropriate.
We understand that each company may have different perspectives on this matter, but we would appreciate it if you could consider our proposal.
