Would it be possible to extend the ReverseDirectRelation concept to populate from a DirectRelation list, and not just a DirectRelation ?

Unfortunately we currently do not have any plans to support this in the short to mid term, primarily due to the significant performance considerations. We do recommend to utilize edges for these many-to-many relationship scenarios, as they are more explicitly navigable in the graph, or to explicitly use search APIs in parallel to query such list of Direct Relation properties.
