【Feature Request】 Enhancements to Adaptive Experience for Building Operations Dashboards

Background

We want to build a new dashboard for our operations department in CDF Adaptive Experience. Our plan is to show existing time series, custom apps, and dashboards together as widgets in one place.

While setting this up, we found the gaps below. We'd like to request the following features.

1. Direct integration with Canvas

• Current: We can't create a direct link to a Canvas, and we can't embed a Canvas in the dashboard.
• Request: Allow Canvas content to be displayed on new dashboards in Adaptive Experience.

2. Bulk import of edited charts or charts placed on a Canvas

• Current: Charts created on a Canvas (multiple charts) can't be embedded directly in the dashboard. The only options are to pull out each time series one by one, or to add a launcher through Flows. The launcher only opens a separate screen, which adds an extra step for users.
• Request: Let us paste edited charts into the dashboard. Ideally, a whole Canvas could be imported at once, with its charts registered automatically.

3. Support for custom apps such as Streamlit

• Current: Streamlit apps and similar custom apps don't appear as options in the Dev environment.
• Request: We want all operations-related data to be visible on the new Adaptive Experience dashboard. To do this, we need to display custom apps there too, including the Streamlit apps our manufacturing department already uses.

Expected Benefits

• Operations staff can see all the information they need on one screen.
• Charts and apps we've already built can be reused, which saves time building dashboards.
• By running Atlas AI on the new dashboard, we expect to be able to do more advanced analysis.
• Users can find information faster, which supports wider use of CDF across the site.
