CDF UI showing property unit for data models

Thank you for suggesting this product idea. We will follow the traction this idea gets in the community. You can expect updates on this post if we decide to include this in our future roadmap, or if we require more information

It would also be nice to add a flag in the Python SDK when listing instances of a view so that one can also get the unit from the container as a separate column for those properties with a given unit.

As an example, if “wellhead_temperature” has a unit stored as “C”, then the flag will add a “wellhead_temperature_uom” column with the unit “C” for all rows listed.

This will be useful for end user applications, and is for now sometimes hardcoded as a stored property in cases where the ease of use for the end user application is consider larger than the negative downside of this type of solution

The way I understand you is that “column” on the result of a /list call to the Instances API, refers to the output from a to_pandas call (on the instance list object).

For comparison, with datapoints, there is this include_unit argument which puts this info into the multi-index (for the columns). Is having such a flag what you had in mind? Would you mind sharing pseudo-code of how you envision this would work, and/or an example show-casing how it would be used?
