Cognite InField: Need ability to backup and restore templates

Template administrators require the ability to backup (export) their templates, save them somewhere (may be as a file in CDF for later use) and be able to re-import that template in future if required. This will help administrators not having to re-create the templates from scratch, in the event that a template gets corrupt for any reason.

How I read your feedback is that you need “versioning” on the Templates, is that correct? Should you can always choose to use revert back to an older version of the Template if needed?

“Versioning” of Templates is something we’ve been discussing in the team as a valuable feature. Currently we haven’t done too much exploration on it, but we have it on the backlog to do it.

Being able to chose a previous version easily by the template administrators would be of definite value for various reasons, including accidental/un-intended changes. I would like your team to prioritize it, based on some of the recent lessons learnt on templates.
