Cognite Charts: Select zoom window with the mouse

The scroll “zoom” works very well, but on several occasions, I have missed the ability to simply select a window with the mouse, which then is zoomed in to. When looking for a particular time window this method simply just works, without all the scrolling and dragging to manipulate the view to my wish.

First off, thank you very much for all of the wonderful requests here on Hub! We really appreciate it and will be responding to each and every one in due time. (I’m helping to organize our Product Tour this afternoon, but will have more time tomorrow and next week.

I wanted to respond to this one quickly, since this is functionality is already available. If you want to zoom into a specific range, click + shift and drag to highlight a section on the plot. You can double-click on the plot to easily “snap” the range back to its previous position.

This absolutely can – and needs to be – more discoverable via the UI, so this is something that is on our agenda to improve (both for this feature and overall).
