Removing a Deployed Flow App from a Cognite Cluster

Is it possible to remove a Flow App from a Cognite cluster after it has already been deployed?

Yes, it is possible using our API, we are working on getting this also supported through our CLI very soon

Is there any new updates to this?

Hi could you point me to the correct api end-point for an app version deletion/archival?

Hi, everyone, sorry for the late response! You can run:
npx @cognite/cli@latest apps delete --help

To see how to use this. I am also updating documentation so its easier to see how this is used

Nice, @Elias Bjørne. Thanks!
Will it be also possible to do that also through the rest api, just by passing the app externalId, for example?

this question come up again, especially asking for

  1. low-level CDF API based approach to delete, which can be scripted for example in Python, not requiring `npm`
  2. CDF Toolkit support for cdf-ops CI/CD scripting
  3. Documentation update about the options

npx @cognite/cli@latest apps delete --help is nice but not covering all needs

What if I do not have the access to the app version resources and, as a tenant admin, I want to manage existing apps?
I thought that custom apps could be somehow listed to review all apps and versions in draft, published, deprecated or archived state. Should the following api do this?
https://api-docs.cognite.com/20230101-alpha/tag/Applications/operation/listApplications

I also want to mention that I still see some inconsistencies in the CLI vs Toolkit documentation. The toolkit docs seem to be more updated. But I believe this is under review.

After some testing, looks like the delete is actually archiving. Can an archived app be restored?

Also, I came up with this issue at some point. A version that seems that was not deployed yet (based on the status command) seems to exist already when I run the deploy command. And it apparently exists because the deployment is really failing.

I appreciate if someone could comment on these items and continue this thread.
