On behalf of the learning facilitator of the MeOH unit:When archiving and deleting unwanted or completed checklists that have been released from a template, the template feature “historical reports for this template” allows users to re-open checklists that were thought to have been removed. Can this feature be restricted to only Admin users? The concern is that general users could potentially open previously archived/deleted checklists and alter the data that was captured; ultimately affecting the integrity of the data.
On behalf of Celanese Charts super users:As a user in Charts, when viewing “Public” charts, I would like to see some sort of folder categorization structure to improve navigation and searching. Currently, the public charts tab shows all charts that have been created. It is difficult to understand what could be relevant to my specific role without the additional context provided in the descriptions or opening each individual chart. It would be great to have the ability to group the charts by operating unit or even discipline. This will make it a bit easier to understand what is available.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:As a user, when creating a template/checklist in InField, I would like the ability to create more than two-levels of sections. This will allow me to effectively organize and structure my templates/checklists in more detail where needed. Given that most current checklists are being transferred from a table/matrix with multiple columns to a list of items within InField, the added layer sectioning will allow me to group line items based on what is required rather than having to provide all information required on a single line item. An example of this can be a checklist for a unit that is built as:Area > Sub Area/System > Equipment > Task
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:Currently, InField only supports an itemized list view when creating templates. However, for Maintenance applications, I would like to see some flexibility in template formatting to allow support for tables (multiple columns and rows) similar to original Excel forms today. Given that maintenance checklists cover multiple inspection criteria per equipment, a list is not the ideal interface as the users would be required to scroll through a long list of items.
On behalf of Celanese super users:I would like the ability to highlight and showcase only the most current and live value from a time series tag on my canvas. This would be similar functionality to what is possible via Pi process books or PowerBi dashboards. Currently, canvas only allows you to visualize the full trend of a time series tag at different time intervals. It would be great to have the option to swap between a single data point and the trend.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users,I would like the ability to view images that have been attached to a line item within a checklist while using the checklist overview page. This would make the review process a lot easier then needing to navigate to the specific checklist on the active checklists tab. Currently the checklists only show a grey dialogue box indicating that an image has been attached to a line item but there is no way to view the image. @Kristoffer Knudsen
On behalf of Celanese Maintain super users:I would like the ability to see and create layouts for notifications similar to the functionality for activities/work orders in Maintain 2.0. This would allow us to create layouts specific for notifications backlog and improve visibility for the asset leaders/gatekeepers at the site as they look to review and prioritize. @Marius Biermann
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:When executing a checklist in offline mode on a mobile device; it has been discovered that there is a risk of losing data due to accidentally refreshing the screen. Due to the design of the UI of InField 2.0, it is common to frequently scroll through a checklist when completing. Most users do this rather quickly without giving it much thought. However, when scrolling back to the top of a checklist, a user could be at risk of accidentally refreshing the screen whenever they reach the boundary limit (very top item) of a checklist. This is due to how the touch interface works on the mobile devices. To refresh the browser, the user needs to only press and drag their finger down on the screen window to initiate a refresh. This is a common movement when scrolling through checklists and could be inadvertently initiated. Would it be possible to include visual indicators or engineers controls that could limit the possibility of this issue occurring? Per
On behalf of Celanese InField super users: The users have expressed interests in being able to see both observations and any comments/notes that have been linked to an asset on the asset overview page. This would make the data easily accessible rather than needing to open specific checklists. @Kristoffer Knudsen
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:When creating an observation in InField 2.0, the user would like the step for providing a media file to be optional. As the user explained, there will be cases where an observation will not require an image and rather than uploading an image to allow the observation to be created and risk hurting the quality of the data in CDF, the user would like to set this field as optional. Currently, InField keeps the observation in draft until a media file is attached. @Kristoffer Knudsen
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like the ability to archive and delete unwanted checklists in InField 2.0. Currently, InField 2.0 only supports the ability to delete templates but not checklists. The only option we are given is to mark checklists as “done”. However, if this is added, it must be limited by access permissions as we do not need all users to have the ability to delete checklists.
On behalf of all Celanese InField super users:I would like the ability to decide how a checklist is shared upon releasing. Today, the only option that allows me to share across all my users upon release is the “automatic release” feature. However, there are times when a checklist must be manually opened from a template. In this instance, a unique checklist is opened and cannot be viewed across all users. I have the ability to share the checklist using a link but this is not ideal when working out in the field using a mobile device. It would be great to have some capability to allow me to choose between opening a unique checklists or opening a shared checklist upon release. It would also help if the “share” button would instead let me choose from a director of users or a team to share the checklist with directly in InField rather than relying on copy and pasting a link.
On behalf of Celanese super users:I would like the ability to save layouts/templates for common filters that I use when searching for data in CDF. Currently, every time I use CDF, need to apply similar filters in order to focus my data search, such as dataset and/or additional metadata filters. If I was able to utilize user defined layouts this would make the user experience more streamlined and approachable.
On behalf of Celanese Maintain super users:I would like the ability to see attachments at the notification and work order level in Maintain. In the current process, it is common for supporting documentation such as red-lines or images to be assigned at the notification and the work order. These attachments would need to be made available in Maintain to support the work package builds using canvas. This would help in preventing the need to jump between two different data sources. @Marius Biermann
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:When building templates in InField 2.0, it has been discovered that there is currently a limit of 500 tasks that can be added to a template. Can this be increased? There are a few checklists in the unit where this limit is easily reached. The only workaround today is to separate the checklists into parts, which is not ideal.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:As an InField user, I would like the ability to customize the layout of the asset overview page. Specifically, for some units/sites there may not be a 3D model available. It would be great to have the ability to disable that module and utilize the extra real-estate to surface more important data.@Kristoffer Knudsen
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like the ability to access other checklists when in offline mode. Currently, offline mode restricts you to the checklist that you have open in that point in time. The reason this would be needed, is that some users execute checklists based on where they are in the unit. This sometimes will involve jumping between different checklists to complete items.
On behalf of Celanese Charts super users:I would like the ability to add comments on specific time series data points. This will help to provide additional context and promote collaboration when troubleshooting using charts. This is a supplemental feature request to the request below. Charts: Marker Placement on Timeseries
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:When building a template in InField, I would like the ability to create a line item that does not require a state (Ok, Not Ok, etc...). In most checklists, there is usually line items for reference or to supplement any findings. Most commonly, these can be open dialogue boxes requesting additional comments or to provide information on any generated notifications/work orders. However, these items are not required to be filled in order to complete the checklist and should not count towards the overall completion progress. Currently, these items are still added to the checklists but require users to mark as “N/A” when not needed in order to consider the checklist as complete and submit for approval.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like for InField 2.0 to display the time stamp and user name who completed the item similar to what was available in InField 1.0. Currently, InField 2.0 only displays the user initials and requires that the user hover over the initials to see the complete details. Additionally, in the overview page, the assignees column does not show the names and requires the user to open the “Assign” tool to see who has been previously assigned. This functionality would make it easier to review and approve checklists.
On behalf of Celanese Charts super users:I would like to see a mobile view mode for Charts. When trying to pull up Charts calculations in the field using a mobile device, the user experience is not the best. It would be great if CDF/Charts had a dedicated mobile view similar to InField so that users can pull up their Charts calculations out in the field.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users: I would like to see improved functionality for adding line items to an existing group or merging groups. Currently, I am unable to drag and drop a new item into an existing group. Instead I am required to select the item I want to add and an item within an existing group and merge the groups as a “new” group. However, when this is done, the new group is moved to the bottom of the checklist. It would be a smoother user experience to be able to add an item to a group directly and without the position of the group being moved.@Kristoffer Knudsen
On behalf of Celanese super users:We should have the ability to have multiple users edit inside a shared canvas. This would allow us to utilize canvas as a live workspace and is critical for any live troubleshooting or RCA working sessions. This should function similarly to a live document in SharePoint.
On behalf of Celanese InField super users:I would like to see more accessibility options for InField. An example would be the ability to alter the color spectrum of contextualized links on smart P&IDs for users that are color blind. Additionally, having a legend on what each color represents in terms of contextualization would further improve the user experience.
On behalf of Celanese Charts super users:I would like the ability to take a single time series and overlay data from different time intervals (batches) on a single chart similar to what is possible in Pi. This would be a needed feature in order to affectively monitor and analyze batch performance. As it stands, the only workaround identified is using a function to generate new time series for each batch, with timestamp offsets. (However, this approach is less efficient for a high number of batches, presenting a non-ideal workflow)This idea request is related to the Hub post below:Cognite Charts: Ability to overlay a single time series for batch analysis
