Blacklisting mnemonics in WTSML extractor

Hello,

With the current WITSML extractor configuration, we can only whitelist the mnemonics that we want to extract. Would it be possible to also support a blacklist configuration for mnemonics?

In our case, the complete list of mnemonics to extract is not known beforehand, which makes maintaining a whitelist challenging.

Thank you.

to add more context:

  • the reason this is important, is to exclude specific mnemonics from WITSML sending “string” values, but expected are numeric
  • these are causing errors in WITSML logs, which cannot be silenced

To allow WITSML extractor to skip these and avoid raising errors, two options are possible

  • whitelist and blacklist

and as @Marwen TALEB explained, in this context whitelisting is not a viable option.
