Add LOGIC functions to CHART calculations

When creating calculations in CHARTS it would be VERY useful to have logic functions (AND, OR, NOT, XOR) which allow multiple (>6 for AND and OR) boolean inputs (TRUE/FALSE) and a single output.

This would be really useful for tracking events which may be dependent on multiple conditions being active (or not active).

Hi @Greg Deans!

Thank you for suggesting this product idea. We will follow the traction this idea gets in the community. You can expect updates on this post if we decide to include this in our future roadmap, or if we require more information.

Hi Greg, thank you for the clear example!

Proper logic functions are a reasonable extension of the calculation library. I can't commit to timing, but the concrete use case and upvotes help us weigh it. Appreciate you raising it.

Thanks @danielferraz .  Great to hear about the plan to add the logic functions.
Any update on timing would be great as I think it can really help with some of the use cases we have subsea with CDF data.

Hi @danielferraz
Just wanted to check in to see if there was any update on the LOGIC functions?
There is some ongoing debate about whether to use Charts and/or RAWFeeder (or other) for subsea operations data interpretation and it would be great if the LOGIC functions were available.
Any update appreciated!

Hi @Greg Deans
Logic functions are apart of the broader calculation improvements we aim to implement in 2027. Due to other initiatives on the roadmap, I can’t share a concrete timing commitment yet. The tool choice context is useful though, and helps the case internally.
I'll make sure this stays visible as we plan, and I'll post here the moment there's a real update
