How to work with Templates & Checklists in Cognite InField [Cognite Official]

I would like to share some quick how-to guides on working with Templates & Checklists in Cognite InField.

Templates & Checklists 

What are Templates?

Templates define the tasks, structure and schedule of routine work done in the field. These can be anything from Templates for area inspection to instrument checklists. Compared to preventive and corrective work orders found in the CMMS, e.g. SAP, these Templates typically don’t have a robust & digital source system today. Due to this, Templates can be created manually through the InField UI and stored in Cognite Data Fusion for future reference.

How to build Templates?

What are Checklists?

Checklists are created from Templates, and represent the unique tasks that need to be done at a specific point in time. Similar to how having a paper-based template on your computer and then printing it out to be done at a unique point in time. Checklists are either created from Templates manually or on a pre-defined schedule. If the Template is contextualized, meaning that tasks are linked to assets, you’ll have the power of Cognite Data Fusion at your fingertips while doing the work in the field. As work is performed, all captured data will be structured and made available in Cognite Data Fusion, and you can capture images/videos and notes on findings.
