Pre-sort documents into different groups

Would love some more details about what you are missing.

Cognite Data Fusion has support for viewing documents through categories today, but this might not be what you are referring to?

See below for description on how it works today in CDF. 

• For Classic data modeling, the Search application and “add data” functionality in Charts and Canvas support auto-categorisation of documents following the NORSOK standard. Use the top right view-settings to select seeing the Files through “Category view”. 

• For (Flexible) Data Modeling, the Search application and “add data” functionality in Charts and Canvas support your project’s defined document classes. You will model these using the “CogniteFileCategory” concept (https://docs.cognite.com/cdf/dm/dm_reference/dm_core_data_model/#filecategory)
