InField offline mode does not allow for numerical measurements to be saved. This can be an issue for the operating units if they have a network outage and are in the middle of completing their round. Unfortunately, "measurement readings" become disabled when connection is lost. The reason for this could be hat "measurement readings" are Data Points. InField writes to a Time Series in Cognite Data Fusion, and writing to CDF is not possible without internet connection.

Without being able to save readings in offline mode will create additional work to ensure compliance with ISO in tracking readings. This is considered a blocker for adoption in one or more of our operating units.

Thanks @rsiddha!

We are well aware of this limitation and you are correct in the reason for why it is not possible today. We are looking into how we can enable a seamless experience if internet connection is lost.

Br,

Kristoffer

@Anita Hæhre , Can you please double check with Kristoffer and ensure it is in the ready list for end of Q1/early Q2 2023, as agreed late last year and update the status of this hub item accordingly. Thanks

@rsiddha - this is on our list and the ambition is to have a solution for it within that timeline. Thanks!
