Hello Cognite team!

To create calculations in Charts, users typically need to combine multiple nodes.
However, there are so many function nodes that some are difficult to understand based solely on their names. This makes it challenging for users to quickly locate the right filter.

For example, when searching for a subtraction function, a user must select one item from a long list under “Operators.” If it’s a function being used for the first time, finding it can take even longer.
Additionally, the functions used often vary by industry, so an engineer shouldn’t need to browse through all available functions at once.

My suggestion: Could you consider adding a “Favorites” feature for functions?
If each user could group the functions they use most frequently in one place, they would be able to access them quickly, improving efficiency for calculation tasks in Charts.

Here’s the idea.

Hi @Daiki Miyazawa

Thank you for the request. This is a great proposal, and falls part of a greater initiative to simplify the calculation experience on Charts.

I have noted this on my end and will keep this post updated once we have the capacity to address this.

Best,
Daniel Ferraz.
