Controlling Lines on Canvas with P&IDs

Hi everyone,

We are happy to share that we have just released the following improvements for connection lines:

• Improved logic on how we display connections/relationships between files and other data types:
  • When document annotations point to the same destination document, their lines are merged into a single line between the documents
  • Connection lines are angled at 90 degrees and route around other documents and elements on the canvas instead of overlaying them
• To trace a specific flow, the user can hover over any connection path, and the selected path will instantly highlight, the rest of the lines will fade.

I have feedback to share.  Do you want it in a new post or is this reply enough?

Is it possible to have a toggle that allows a user to select orthangonal connections vs. straight line connections for a Canvas?  I had some Canvas’ with multiple document/equipment that basically have untraceable connections in the new orthangonal lines, but were useable with the old straight lines.

We need to investigate why this happens, as they should be traceable with the new connection lines.
