Hi,

I have been updating the beta documentation a bit since the last edition linked in the invitation. This applies to both the planned standard Cognite documentation, and the developer API documentation. All of the documents are available using a direct link to our document rendering services (linked below), and should be updated as we privately deploy new information.

Note that all of these documents are works in progress with ongoing updates, so please forgive any typos, omissions, and other errors at this stage:

    I have a question about the “Data deleted after” parameter. For Immutable sandbox streams, it is noted in the documentation that data will be deleted after 7 days. Does this mean that the stream will never contain data more than 7 days old, and everything older than that will automatically be deleted?

    What will happen if we exceed the maximum number of records in a stream? Will the oldest records automatically be deleted, or will we have to manually delete them?

    Correct, for the stream created using the original Beta stream template. The data will be soft deleted after the «after» interval, and hard deleted later. The other templates have different retention («after») values.

    If you exceed the record count, before the retention interval is exceeded, you’d have to delete manually. Or create a new stream.

    This particular guide was removed for now. We’ll consider adding it back sometime next year as we gather more learnings on the usage of the service for handling alarm management.
