Question

Can we display Interactive diagram on POWERBI or cognite flows app?

Hello Team, 

I have created interactive diagram in my project and its working fine, showing all related assets and timeseries associated with each part on diagram. But all this happening on cognite data fusion environment.

My query is, how can we bring this diagram to POWER BI dashboard or Cognite Flows App. Is there any way to do this? or its not possible?

    Hi ​@Rupali Duryodhan Kombade - thanks for reaching out. 

    I’m unsure if Power BI supports a file viewer today. However, for Custom Flows App this should be doable. The file viewer you see in Fusion is currently not open sourced, but there is plenty of open source file viewers you could utilise for this purpose. 

    Is your plan to create a dashboard where this is a widget in it? Since you mentioned Power BI. If so, could you elaborate a bit more on what you’re trying to do?

    Hello Kristoffer,

    Right now I have interactive diagram on canvas. When I open canvas we can click on different part of image and view linked asset to each node of image. Also we can see more information related to that asset like timeseries details, last value etc… but all these things we can do on canvas.

    I wanted to know if this will be possible on POWER BI dashboard, can we add that canvas or interactive image on POWER BI dashboard and perform all actions we are performing on canvas? 

    If this is not possible in POWER BI then can it be possible with flows app? and how?

      A Canvas or our interactive diagram viewer cannot be added to a Power BI dashboard. For Custom Flows Apps you can do this. Here you control whatever you want to build, e.g. you can use an open source library for showing an interactive diagram in your app. This Skill should also be a way for you to get started, if you just tell your coding agent that you want to use it: https://github.com/cognitedata/builder-skills/blob/main/skills/integrate-file-viewer/SKILL.md
