In present solution of Charts Min/Max values for a time series are set automatically.

Suggest to have an “Override” functionality which enable that Min/Max values van be entered manually by end User.

In addition it would be beneficial to have a functionality with “Split Charts” i.e. individual charts for different time series can be produced.

In Connection with analysis of multiple time series the presernt “Enable Stacking” can not fulfill getting a good overview of time series on “top of each other”.

Thank you for sharing one more your insightful reflection, Torben!

We greatly appreciate your contribution and stay tuned for updates on how we plan to proceed.

Agree with Torben on this. Controlling the y-axis + ability to split charts is important for the user-experience and general usage. The user should have control of area-size for charts, so when splitting charts - different areas/size can be for the different charts.

1.With regards to setting Min / Max this is already possible in Charts today but double clicking the ends of the axis today i believe this should solve that problem ?

2.With regards to splitting charts this requires a big change in the Charts UI to account for multiple windows / views. One way to do this today is to pull individual time series as charts into Canvas and use this as an overview of the problem.

Apologies for the delayed response on my end its taken a while to go through the backlog of requests and i appreciate the engagement from you and your valuable feedback 😄.

Hi Arun,

  1. No this does not solve what was requested. The min/max values is proposed to be set manually - and not by the automatic min/max as You propose as the built in automatic scaling functionality today.
  2. Adding charts to “Canvas” does not solve what was requested. In the canvas You can not have the cursor “common” for the charts added, e.g. if You look for timeseries values in different charts at a specific points in time.
