When printing from canvas, if you reduce the default size of a text or object, it prints to PDF extremely blurry and you can’t read it.

Any luck fixing this? Getting a lot of complaints about this one and people are beginning to stop using the canvas because the PDF’d version is useless.

Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to take in development this issue yet. We plan to do so by the end of November, but I don’t have a clear timeline, as it depends on how much work is needed.

Keep us in the loop. We’ll be telling users to not utilize canvas until this gets fixed. It’s causing major aversion to the cognite tool as a whole as it is wasting people’s time because they are having to do things in cognite and then again in bluebeam/pdf exchange when they figure out it cant print.

@n989 As this behavior occurs only when the text size is considerably reduced, would it be possible to maintain the default size so the pdf print works as expected, until the issue is resolved?

@Andreea Oprea  - Any update on this product bug? While maintaining the default size works, we can’t drive that behavior across all our users and this continues to be raised a major adoption hurdle to Canvas on MPC side.

@Andreea Oprea  We have been directing people not to change the file size, but now it is starting to happen on files that arent resized. The user has to make the file larger to make it print legible.

Here is another instance of the same issue where users are generating tickets on our end for this product issue:

 

When downloading a Cognite Canvas, the resolution of the shapes on the canvas is poor. See attachment as example.

Attached is the pdf export of the canvas with the poor resolution markups (page 4).
