Hi,

I am new to this academy and I was wondering who the target audience for the courses on Data scientist or Data Engineer bootcamps are.

  • Is it for employees of companies which are already using Cognite products?

OR

  • Can anyone with an interest in Data science (knowing the prerequisites) join? And what can they do with the certificates? Where can they use that knowledge?

I am really interested in joining the courses, but I also want to know if they are worth my time.

Appreciate your responses.

Hi @vahid

We have learning paths for Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Domain Experts and Product Managers. The target audience for these would match with their titles. Data scientist → data scientist learning path etc.

There will always be people who fall in between or even cover more than one of these, and then we encourage you to click into each learning path to explore the courses within. They do also have some overlapping content.

For the Cognite Data Fusion Bootcamp - it is for Cognite’s partners and customers, both for those just starting to use CDF and for those who has already use it for some time. In the bootcamp you get to learn everything from extracting data from source systems until the ready-state of the data to visualize it. What we recommend for this, is to be a technical person, both Data Scientists and Data Engineers works, and other technical roles. Since it is done in with command-lines and code and not by clicking in the UI.

All the learning paths/courses on Cognite Academy, is free, but the bootcamp is a paid offering.
The certificates will be a proof of knowledge that can come in handy if you are working on a projects with CDF or similar.

I hope this answers your question!
