InField - December 2023 release

Hello everyone, 

We're excited to announce a smaller update to our software, with some new features and bug fixes to elevate your experience. 

Streamlined Checklists with Check Item: For Template builders working with “check items”, you can now map the check items to the task state “OK, “Not OK”, “Blocked,” and “Not applicable”, such that the field operators don’t need to make multiple options when working on the checklist. When the task state mapping is defined, the operator can input numerical readings or check items, and the task status is then automatically changed to the corresponding state, depending on what the user inputs in the checklist.

If any of the check items are mapped to “Not OK” or the numerical reading is out of range, the task will be set to “Not OK” automatically. All numerical readings and check items need to be filled in for the state to be automatically set. 

Convenient Observations Creation: Creating observations is now more accessible with a direct option available in the menu. Now, you can create observations right in the checklist or create them separately from the menu.

Clickable Link in Task Description: Template builders can now add clickable links in the task description. This will enable field operators to access relevant information more easily when executing the task. 

Some of the resolved issues in this release:

1. Long checklist names caused unexpected checklist behavior.
   Resolved unexpected behavior related to long checklist names without spaces, ensuring a smoother user experience.
2. Checklists didn't appear as scheduled.
   Addressed reported issues with automatic checklist releases, ensuring templates set to "ready" with scheduled intervals function as expected.
3. Tasks disappeared when you tried to duplicate them.
   Users can now confidently duplicate tasks without encountering disappearing issues, providing a more reliable and consistent experience.
4. Opening Trends resulted in a white screen.
   We resolved the issue when opening trends for some tags resulted in the screen turning white with no option to do anything on the page.
5. User initials.
   We fixed inconsistency in the display of user initials.
