Beyond unit conversion support, being able to mutate a property value as it is being read from the data store, either by standard or custom functions in a view, is not currently on our roadmap. Are you more or less looking for the equivalent of a calculated/generated column from the RDBMS world, or something more flexible? What underlying problem would this functionality address?
No explicit timeline at this time. Have it in the “consider for 1H2024” bucket, but depends on ongoing work and key deliverables in 2H2023.
Hi @Willem Meijer and thank you for this product idea.I’ve notified the lead product manager responsible for the Data Exploration functionality of your idea and I expect they will reach out here if they have additional questions or need clarification before they make a roadmap determination about your idea.
Hi @Willem Meijer,We have received your product idea an I've reached out to the lead Product Manager for the functionality. You should expect them to follow up if they have questions, and update the status of this idea as it progresses through the evaluation.
Hi @nabanitakar, To better help answer or direct you to someone who can help you answer your question; What kinds of data represent “Master data” fin your question?
Sorry, with the post being tagged for InField, I misunderstood! Have you had a chance to investigate the new search API for Documents (in Beta, going GA)? See https://api-docs.cognite.com/20230101-beta/tag/Documents/operation/documentsSearch
Hi and thank you for this product idea @ibrahim.alsyed.I've notified the lead PM for Infield of your idea and expect @Kristoffer Knudsen to follow up as we assess.
Hi, and thanks for this Product Idea @rmaidla!The lead product manager for the CDF 3D functionality - @Ragnhild Byrkjeland, or a member of their team - will evaluate your idea, and determine the next steps. You should expect updates related to this idea to be communicated here on Hub going forward.
Hi, and thank you for this product idea @tom! We intend to improve our coverage of the GraphQL specification in the Data Modeling GraphQL endpoint, and improved interface support, union support, plus fragments are high on the “should have” list as we work to improve the developer experience. Unfortunately, I do not currently have a set timeframe for when this will be implemented, but as the Product Manager I’m hoping we can deliver something addressing your idea in this the 2nd half of 2023.
Hi @rsiddha and thank you for this product idea. I’ve let the lead PM - @Marius Biermann - know and would expect him to follow up with you as we evaluate this feature for inclusion in our Maintain roadmap.
Hi and thank you for this product idea @rmaidla!We will begin to process the insight and I expect the lead PM - @Andreea Pastinaru, or a member of her team - to provide updates as they arrive at a product/roadmap decision.
Hi @Abram Ziegelaar and thank you for this product idea. The lead product manager for Maintain - @Marius Biermann - has started evaluating your idea, and should be providing follow-ups through this topic as they determine the appropriate course of action for the product.
We have geolocation and geometry as Data Modeling “system types” in the backlog for the delivery team. It has been requested for delivery in Q3 (this quarter), but am still looking for a team commitment on that deliverable, so it’s not a guaranteed thing!
Thank you for reporting this problem @vsanwaria.Will investigate and fix ASAP.
Hi @Abram Ziegelaar and thank you for this idea. As you probably know, adding Data Modeling support to our PowerBI connector is in progress at the moment, but we’re unlikely to pivot to a GraphQL driven PowerBI connector at this stage. However, this is an interesting concept that we will assess! As the Product Manager for Data Modeling, I will process this idea and update you as we have new information.
Hi Liv, and thanks for forwarding this idea from the customer.I’ve notified the lead product manager for the CDF Industrial Canvas functionality of this idea and you should expect them, or a member of their product management team, to follow up on any questions or plans for the idea going forward.

Hi Liv, and once again thank you for forwarding this product idea from Celanese.I have (for now) asked @Glen Sykes to process the idea for consideration. As a heads-up, since the essence of this request spans different product components, it may be somebody other than Glen who responds / follows up.
Hi @Liv Hagen and thanks for submitting this product idea for Charts.I will notify @Andreea Pastinaru so she or a member of her team can follow up with yourself, and/or directly with the customer when processing it for consideration in the Charts roadmap.
No models are currently available. We had a brief stint of enabling the CFHIOS model but it uncovered a few limitations in our scalability that we’ve been working to address (bug fixes, support for customer-dedicated service instances, support for system types and models, etc rolling out continuously as we finish the work during the current quarter). The goal is to enable support for the CFHIOS model first (end of Q3CY23 atm).Beyond that we’re currently assessing what other models to include (recommendations as “Product Ideas” and voting here are most welcome, will also publish our own ideas later this month), and building the infrastructure in-house to potentially absorb contributed models for review and inclusion, as well as develop our own models.
Hi @vsanwaria,The “Domain Model” is currently more of a concept than a direct deliverable from Cognite. We’re actively working on extending the capabilities of Data Modeling to support large and complex Domain Models for our customers. These “Domain Models” are envisioned to be starting points for our customers to select, import/deploy, potentially modify, and subsequently use when needing to use industry standards like CFHIOS, “the ISO-XXXXX” options, etc.A “Solution Data Model” is envisioned as a consumer specific mapping (data model) from source and data model types and properties to whatever subset/superset the application/dashboard/client service should have access to/use.
Thank you for providing this product idea @crgomez13.I have notified @Kristoffer Knudsen of your submission. Next you can expect he, or a member of his team, to review this information and ask any follow-up questions here as they consider it for inclusion in the InField product roadmap.
Thank you for sharing this Product idea @Marcela Young.I have notified the lead product manager, @Andreea Pastinaru..Next you should expect her, or a member of her team, to review this information, ask follow-up questions, and process.it for consideration for the Charts roadmap.
