Unable to create kafka extractor with Scram512

I was trying to use cognite hosted extractor api for creating kafka connection using scram512 authentication type, but it seems to be failing to connect with below error

 

Could not connect to broker(s): Kafka error, Could not connect to broker: Connection error: all retries failed: Retry exceeded deadline. Source: Sasl handshake failed: API error: UnsupportedSaslMechanism

    This error means that your broker does not report `scramSha512` as a supported SASL mechanism.

      ​@Einar Omang  broker does supports scramSha512 and I am able to connect to broker using scram512 through different clients.
