Hi there,

I understand that Cognite Maintain focuses on continuous, proactive maintenance, aiming to predict equipment issues before they lead to failures. However, I recently heard some discussion around using it as a turnaround (TAR) planning solution. Could Maintain also function as a TAR tool, given that turnaround solutions primarily manage project timelines and execution rather than provide ongoing operational insights?

Please share your thoughts on this—I’d really appreciate it!

@Andre Alves Thanks for reaching out on this.

Maintain is used by both TAR and routine maintenance teams. Its main usage area though is supporting TAR teams to:

  • Reduced down time through cross-plan alignment and backlog reduction
  • Improve reliability of plans through a visual planning experience (e.g. augmenting the P6 schedule with location data)
  • Safer execution through better field and office collaboration around line walks

Happy to engage and elaborate more on our experienced around TAR!
