For file category view in Search, the user has to press “show more” many times to show all the files and categories related to an asset. This is an Adoption Blocker. I suggest loading all the categories as empty folders, and then when a user selects a category, load all the files under that category.

As a continuation of our discussion in meeting and over email, our team is looking into if some optimizations can be done. The suggested solution you mention is not viable, but we are looking into if there are other means to optimize. We will update you when we have completed the investigations.
