File extractor for Sharepoint support to extract data from root site down to document libraries and subfolders

If a Sharepoint site has a list of child sub-sites, document libraries, and sub-folders configured, Cognite File Extractor should be able to navigate to all libraries to extract documents and metadata.

As Sharepoint stores documents within document libraries and in folders/subfolders, it is cumbersome to configure URLs for large Sharepoint sites with many libraries or folders. Additionally, it would be difficult to maintain if document libraries are created or deleted. Therefore, if File Extractor can use the root Sharepoint site URL to discover sub-sites, libraries, and folders, it would make integration much simpler.

Hi @adeel, and really sorry about the super tardy reply.

I have defined the problem summary for this idea as “Configure auto-discovery of Sharepoint sites/libraries to start traversing from”. Does that reflect what you have in mind?

Will close this as a duplicate idea in our Cognite-internal tools.
