We understand that there is ample opportunity for adding more documentation for the CDF Data Modelling API. It is really a quite complex and powerful API and honestly we could spend as much time documenting it as we have spent developing it and still not be done. We do have some examples in docs such ashttps://docs.cognite.com/cdf/dm/dm_concepts/dm_querying#examples but I agree we should have more and we will, over time.
As part of our September release, we’ve added several new examples to help you dive deeper into data modeling. This is an ongoing effort, and we’ll continue to expand our resources with even more examples over time.
In addition, we recently introduced two new microlearning modules to further support your learning journey.
If there are any specific topics you’re interested in that we haven’t covered yet, please feel free to let us know. We’d love your feedback!
Thank you for reaching out, and for now, I’ll close this ticket.
Data modeling continues to be "a pebble in my shoe," as Cognite’s semantic data modeling structure is completely different from what I’m used to with SQL, NoSQL, and other data platforms. The more examples we have and the more comprehensive the documentation, the better it will be for everyone working with Cognite.
