It should be possible to filter and sort by the createdTime and lastUpdatedTime columns in FDM.

We have considered this, but a practical consideration in that case is that these fields would then require indexes to enable efficient query processing, and as these fields are not part of any types, but rather the graph nodes and edges themselves, means either these indexes would be required on all instances, so the costs of indexing would have to be justified for all data.


However, one of the core use cases for filtering and sorting by createdTime and lastUpdatedTime (retrieving recently added or updated data) can be solved using the sync API, which provides efficient streaming of changes. We are looking at enhancing that API with capabilities such as retrieving recently deleted data and retrieving only data changed after the sync has started.
