3D Object Slicing X/Y

The lead product manager for the CDF 3D functionality - @Ragnhild Byrkjeland, or a member of their team - will evaluate your idea, and determine the next steps. You should expect updates related to this idea to be communicated here on Hub going forward.

We agree with you that this should be part of the tooling in our 3D viewer. A first iteration of this is planned to be part of the end of year release, enabling slicing in X/Y/Z direction. Though we have some more nuggets around slicing that we want to investigate further as well for later releases.

Due to a lot of shift in prioritize this never got the attention it deserved. But now I can tell you that we do have a POC working, and are defining the proper interactions from a users perspective on how to do the slicing. 

In the new release you will have the option to clip the model in X, Y and Z direction. It is being released on September 17th.
