In Cognite Remote / Data Fusion, it would be good to add the ability to slice on the X/Y plane as opposed to just the Z plane to better isolate the area of interest. This is relevant to 3D CAD models as well as point clouds.

The lead product manager for the CDF 3D functionality -@Ragnhild Byrkjeland , or a member of their team - will evaluate your idea, and determine the next steps. You should expect updates related to this idea to be communicated here on Hub going forward.
We agree with you that this should be part of the tooling in our 3D viewer. A first iteration of this is planned to be part of the end of year release, enabling slicing in X/Y/Z direction. Though we have some more nuggets around slicing that we want to investigate further as well for later releases.
