Cognite InField: Template checklist auto assignment based on schedule

Need functionality to auto deploy checklist templates based on calendar.

Currently checklists are available in templates or the link has to be copy/pasted and sent to people each week. As a manager, when staff comes on shift, there are different checklist tasks that need to be completed based on the day/week/month that it is. For example, there are shiftly readings that need to be taken (day/night) that need to be assigned to the team so they are all available when the team comes in. There are other checklist/tasks that need to be completed quarterly or the first weekend of the month.

As a manager, I need the functionality to set up reoccurrence of the checklists to be opened for the user when they come on the shift so they have a list of all actions that need to be completed during that shift. With rotating shifts, we do not have the bandwidth to send reminders that a new checklist needs to be completed. In our current world, papers are printed and batched so each shift has a duty roster and the paper copies that need to be completed. In a digital transformation, the tasks should be as easy to schedule with checklists as adding a reoccurrence on a meeting calendar.

This is an important feature to optimize operators so that when they login, they get the right checklists that are scheduled for that shift, day with the right frequency to execute. Most plants work on 12 hour shifts globally, and you want the ability to schedule checklists by shift and frequency and operator role (Outside 1 or outside 2) so when Outside 1 operator is selected - it shows exactly which checklist, for which shift its scheduled for completion

Thanks for your inputs, Kylie and Ibrahim! That kind of personalisation is something we have in our backlog. I’ll bump up that task so we can have a proper look in the not too distant future.

Is it possible to speak with other existing customers to see if this item can be bumped up the backlog further based on customer input?

@Kylie R We have been in discussion with other end users about similar functionality before, so it is definitely on our radar 😊
