CogniteAPIError: Type definitions deleted: ...

Forum|alt.badge.img+4

Doing the ‘hands-on’ for Data Engineer Basics - “Learn to Use the Cognite Python SDK “ Course."

I am down to adding labels to assets.

The code fails at the last line above with the error:

CogniteAPIError: Type definitions deleted: {externalId: cold-countries}. | code: 400 | X-Request-ID: 50b63199-cac6-9ab3-99ac-3b6ac768ecce

Please can someone explain:

  1. what does this error mean?
  2. what can be done to eliminate the error

Thank you.

Doug

Hi @Mugless Durry

I need to look into this a bit! I hope it is not blocking you for further progress in the course!

Hi @Simon Fredriksen

I’m sorry to hear that. I had a colleague running through and did not report any issues, so  I assumed it was fixed. I will personally take a look at it as soon as  can. In the meantime, are you able to skip that line of code and proceed?

Best Regards,

Hey guys, I’ve faced the same problem. I guess it means someone mistankingly deleted the ‘cold-countries’ label. In my case, the ‘cold-countries’ exists, but someone deleted the ‘hot-countries’ label.

How can i recover a deleted label?

Hi @Felipe Farias! I will have to take a look, I think you can try to create the label yourself and attach it to some assets.

Let me know if you do and how it went!
