Impact 2024: The Industrial Data and AI Conference for and by Users | Nominate Speakers Now for a Ch...
Hello everyone! I just watched the video about Open Industry Data and there is something I could not understand. At 02:45 it is mentioned that the data is live but there is an approximate one week delay. How could it be live with a delay? Thanks in advance. Edit: I just asked the same question to one of my colleagues and learned that “live” does not mean “real-time”. I was thinking they were the same, hence the question.
Hello Mithila, thank you for your response! We tried using the threshold, but unfortunately, there are some uncertainties as well. Take a look at this example: the timeseries starts the day at about 50, then drops to less than 1 around 2:46. The total time should be approximately 2:46, but it says 2:30. This is a meaningful difference for our user.
Thank you, @Jason Dressel! I indeed created the calculated time series using Charts “save and schedule”. I will post this as a feature request on the proper channel.
Hello @Dilini Fernando! Unfortunately, we could not find a solution to this use case yet. We tried the integration approach and also the threshold in charts, both give us a result that has a significant difference from the PI calculations. We will continue investigating the issue.
Hello @Glen Sykes! That is exactly the case, the timeseries represents a machine state (on/off). Thank you for your response, we will wait for the new feature.
Hello @Andreea Oprea! Is this only possible when you have a file to get the timeseries from? I tried adding the timeseries straight to canvas and could not find this option that you showed. For the use case I am trying to solve, I need around 30 values from timeseries in different equipment, that means many different files. Having to find the files to get the values would not give a good user experience.
We are also facing this issue in Bishop. Several important users are having trouble using charts when they only have their cellphones available.
Hello Andreea! I need the latest value from all 30 time series for this use case in particular.
Hello @Elise Buck! With Chrome I do not get the same behaviour, only with Safari. I did the test opening the checklist and then putting the iPad on airplane mode. With the checklist open, I could not click any buttons and select the numerical reading fields to input a number. I’m still trying to put the video on the cloud and send a link here.
