We don’t use API-keys in postman anymore! But Wei, double check that you have selected the correct environment (upper right corner) and that there are no extra spaces in the variables or current values :)
Also, when you are in the Authorization (under Cognite API v1) and have got the token, you also need to click save (upper right corner). An indication that something is not saved, is this orange dot on the tab that you see in my picture below. Please click save (the orange dot will disappear and then try to list assets again :)
Hi @vidhi.c.jain, could you tell me the line of code that throws this error?
Hi again @vidhi.c.jain! You’re not given an client secret for this course. Notebook 1 shows different methods of authenticating and states that to use client secret “Make Sure, You've created an environment variable CLIENT_SECRET with the value of the client secret obtained from admin”So basically the code is there to show it’s down if you wanted to authenticate using a client secret, but it not asking you to do it. Going forward with notebook 2 it is not needed. I hope that answered you question and that you have a smooth experience with the rest of the course. Sofie
@vidhi.c.jain could you try to reset the kernel and re-run every cell in notebook 2. Please let me know how that goes :)
Hi @vidhi.c.jain Have you tried restarting the kernel? (so we clear all outputs and start from scratch)
If you want to change your name, I think @Carin Meems could help you with that?Or you could send a ticket/mail to support@cognite.com
Is this the same issue as this? It seems like I’m not able to see the full error message from the screenshots above
@joship are you stilling facing the same issue?
I agree with @Carin Meems! I think @vidhi.c.jain you need to check the clock on your computer, maybe it is just off with 1 minute?I found a lot of similar issues on the internet (for example here: https://github.com/Azure/azure-cli/issues/20388)where one person says: For the record, I was also facing this issue, even after synchronizing my machine's time. Only after an additional reboot the problem went away. Could you try that @vidhi.c.jain ?
Hi @Philips ! Are you currently doing the Python SDK course? Sofie
In which CDF project are you trying to use the extractor @Philips ?
Extractor-utils Library for Cognite Python SDK is a informative course. The course doesn’t give any project details to deploy the extractor to because we don’t have that setup unfortunately. But if you are a part of a organisation which are costumers or partners of Cognite, you might have access to your own CDF project. You can then use the course, along with documentation, to set up a extractor in your project. As linked in the course, this quickstart guide might be useful: https://cognite-extractor-utils.readthedocs-hosted.com/en/latest/quickstart.htmlSo the variables you mention can unfortunately not be provided by Cognite Academy. Sofie, Cognite Academy
I see @Philips! But to test it you need to specify the variables you mention above. And to get the relevant info you need to have a CDF project as the target (which we unfortunately cannot provide as of now). But thank you for taking our courses and let us know! Maybe we’ll be able to have an environment where this can be tested in the future!Sofie
Thank you so much @Dirk Ackerman and @Terry Gansen for notifying us, and even finding a solution for it! The course is updated! :D Sofie
Hi ShylashriSelvamani I’m sorry to hear that this is an issue for you. Could the issue be related to the file living in a Google Drive? Sofie
So it never starts downloading at all? Could you try on another network? Sofie
Hi @Akshit Joshi! I took a close look at the raw table and transformation and I found out that someone has tempered with the maintenance table in RAW. @Dirk Ackerman and @Terry Gansen fix, helped a little bit. But now the table is back to the original condition and all of you should be able to create all the events. Sofie
Hi Mario! For events, time series and datapoints, you’re asked to use already existing raw tables. Meaning, no need to upload a csv file for those. It already exists! Please let me know if you were able to proceed ! :) Sofie
Okay! I see! The files in only in the CDF project used for this training. You can either switch project, or you can go into the academy CDF project (“cdf-fundamentals”) —> raw tables —> find IFSDB data base and download the tables from there. Sofie
As all our learner, you as well, should be able to access it. Have you tried following the instructions in the beginning of the hands in part (cognite-learn as domain and cdf-fundamentals as project)? if not - email support@cognite.com and they should be able to provide the needed csv files Sofie
Hi @Lixiang Sun!In which notebook are you? Could you try to clear the history and re-run? Sofie
@Lixiang Sun are you getting a successful log in for the first part of notebook number 2 (2_List_Search_Retrieve)? c = cauth.create_cognite_client()
@Lixiang Sun if the line above was successful, then the next linec.data_sets.list()should show all data sets
Hi @vidhi.c.jain You probably need to check with your IT to verify if there are any firewall or proxy blocking access.(because you should be able to access) Sofie
